Promoting Your Etsy Shop on Other Sites...

I wanted to share a way I have picked up many views promoting my new listings with all the Etsy shop users.
Etsy members that aren't aware of or have not been using the "Bookmark & Share" link on the item pages should look into this. I was recently asked by a member/friend on Etsy if I had been using StumbleUpon to promote my new listings. (I did at one point but stopped when the site was having an issue with Etsy)
The first time I tried using Stumble with a new listing, I picked up 6 views. I found that 6-10 views to be the low end...and I've received as many as 400 views in a 24 hour period from Stumble for my new listings. I'm not sure what makes the item so popular...if Stumble promotes popular listings to their site...but in some cases I was receiving 3-4 dozen views in a matter of minutes.
There are several other sites on the Bookmark and Share link found on your Etsy site...and all the sites are free to join and use to promote your new listings. I've yet to receive a sale I can directly attribute to Stumble, but I know that I've made a sales from using Facebook, Kaboodle & StyleHive.
If you are looking to improve your creations visibility...consider using a few of the these outside sites to help promote your shop...some sites take only a minute or two to use!

It's a great site to promote your items...I added one item yesterday and my stats showed 75 views on my items and I think my views for Monday will be over 100.
Now to turn some of those views to confirmed sales.
Thanks for responding!

Thanks for the information regarind the above sites. Am not a member of any of them including Facebook. Our kids are on Facebook and I could ask them to promote my crafts although I don't have a website. Was a member of Etsy for about a year, had a few views but sold nothing. Am eventually going to try to list some crafts on Ablewise, see my profile, and just see what happens. I haven't tried to "push" any sales anywhere since I've been busy with other things away from the computer. Thanks again for the helpful information.
