SEO[search engine optimization] this is totally an automated process where in the sites are searched with the particular keywords and also the sites are selected in an algorithmic way. When ever a person searches for something and types the words in search engine those words are been processed and with the help or algorithmic way you will be displayed with the sites who have the highest page visits and also with the related keywords. Did you ever notice when ever you search for something on net when the search results are displayed with the site and there will be some brief description about the content there the search letters which you have typed will be in bold so as to highlight you search keyword. Hi, The basics of seo are setting your site so it's visible in the search engines, there's a a few simple ways you can go about this - onsite, which is things like using the right keywords and phrases in your titles and content etc and offsite which is getting anchor text backlinks etc to your site. A few things to remember though are that you need to really research your chosen keyword etc - for example we could both have very similar sites (same content etc)but depending on the keyphrases I target I could get much better search engine results than you (it's sort of boils down to finding out what search terms people use when looking for certain sites/topics) also the page rank of your site really has nothing to do with how high your site ranks in the search engines. Of course this is all very basic and it's a bit more involved and time consuming but once you get the hang of it anyone can do it
