I have beaten it without wars and without loosing lives on a REAL hardware ( no emulators , savestates and sh*t like that ) Yes it takes more time to beat it without warps but it is worth playing that way. The fact that when you have 9+ lives you see a crown zero instead of one and zero. It is not that hard clearing 8-4 you just have to know the path and this is something that you will learn with trial and errors :)

I have conquered the game on 1 life & then re-conquered it again on the same life using warps!

I like the first edition best, and I also know a short way to pass it,for NES.

No i always die at 8-2 :(

I have beat the game many, many times using warps and without warps. 8-2 is the most difficult stage on the game but came be overcame, especially if you get the infinite lives on world 3-2. That way you can try world 8-2 as many times as you need to. I can also beat the game in under 4 minutes.
