Hi. Alot of you know the problems that I am having living in this "dump" of an apartment. The constant noise, music blarring, and inconsiderate people. Now, to top it off, my car has been damaged. Someone (I suspect a kid) drug a key along everyones car and scratched the hoods. This really pissed me off because I just got this car last winter. Ok, it is used, but still! It was like a new car to me! I heard that this kid has been egging other apartments and cars to. I am starting to get scared to even live here. I don't feel safe. People are moving to my town from who knows where and just moving in here and over taking the place. They don't follow the rules of the complex and leave trash everywhere and constantly are rude to the other tenents and very disrespectful making constant noise. Someone crashed into my window the other day and it scared me, and my cat to death. They were kids, and their parents aren't even around anywhere. Alot of them are left here alone. I am getting to the point of calling child services! I would give anything for some money for a deposit so I could get out of this place!! Oh well. I just had to rant for a while.

You should do something. Unattended children are a danger to themselves and to others. With no guidance they can turn into evil and mislead adults. I'm not sure how far children services can go and I know it'll take some time but maybe you should call and see if they can do something. Have you spoken with your landlord about all the problems. Or have you filed a police report about your car? I would do something I couldn't just sit there and take it.

Hi littleme, Thanks for responding. The police came out and looked at all the cars, and a report was filed. Unfortunately, nothing can be done unless someone wittnessed the kid doing it. And no one has seen it. We have just noticed the damage and others has seen him do the egging. The landlord won't do anything either unless we have the name of the person and which building he lives in, and we don't know. There are alot of people hanging around here that we don't know. I know they don't live around me in these buildings. Someone did speak to the landlord/office yesterday and they just said to give them the file number on the report. I have the card that the officer gave me, and believe me, if I see anything I will call. But they do need proof. It just angers me that they keep getting away with it. As for these kids, they are already evil and troublesome. Because their parents are that way. If I see anymore kids outside by themselves I will call. Thanks alot.

It's so time for a video camera to be posted right outside your window. It doesn't even have to be an expensive one or put on in the car. I would so make it my job to catch them in the act. You should petition for the landlord to hire security for the apartments. Look at the lease usually they put something about how they insure your protection. If there is then they don't have a choice but to hire a security officer as part of that guarantee. I'm one of those people that pays attention to all the little details. I'm curious to see if your lease states that or not. When I had my apartment before the house it stated I had the right to feel safe and secure at whatever cost to the landlord. You should have that right as well.

Hi littleme, That is a good thought. I will look at my lease again. If there is something like that in there, I am going to demand they do something. But, they aren't very nice to me. Probably cause I have complained to much. But I think it is because I am low income. They always look down on us that live up here. The other apartments are somewhat nicer and aren't on rental assistance. They constantly do work on them to improve them. They have central air, dishwashers, and are bigger. We don't have any of that in these. They are much smaller, and don't do any work to improve them. I don't think its fair just cause we don't have money. Thanks

It's really sad that you have to live like that. We live in apartments too but they are really well run and everyone has to take back ground checks and so forth. I don't blame you for wanting to move, I would too. ~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS**

You know, I was once in a neighborhood that was like that and no matter how much I got on the children for their bad behavior, nothing worked UNTIL, I remembered the saying, if you can't beat them, join them so that's what I did. I befriended the kids and became a mentor to them. They came to like me and stopped destroying my things and others too just by my showing interest in them. Maybe you could try doing that? It's worth a try.

Hi MB!! These kids won't have anything to do with me. All they do is play and scream constantly. I just can't stand it. I really don't want to be around little kids at all. They really get on my nerves now. I don't know why, mabye because of my age, or bad health or what. I just can't stand to be around them due to the noise. Don't worry, I will figure it out. Say a prayer for me that I get my disability. That will allow me to get out of here! Take care!
