What is the deal with Adam? Why is he plotting all this?

From the time Adam arrived in GC, he was not a very nice person; he lied and went behind Victoria's back on business matters and hit on Nick's wife when he must have know who she was since he had researched everything else about the Newmann's. Now he has descended into total evil with no sign of a conscience whatsoever.

I agree with you. He's a thoroughly unlikeable character now. I'm glad Heather figured out the truth about him finally. To tell you the truth, he doesn't even seem human anymore...he's so full of resentment that all he can do is plot and cause pain and he doesn't even have a reason for acting the way he does. However, he's too crafty and in control to be out of his mind.
