I use Mechanical Turk and have done alright from it. I've made nearly $140.00 and a lot of it has been from survey or article writing work. You can have the money paid in to a bank account if you are in the U.S but usually I use my Amazon vouchers to buy stuff I'd buy anyway and then save what I would have spent. If I find a UK bank that will let you set up a US bank account then I'll go with that option.

$140 is an excellent result. I can see how it is possible to earn a decent amount on there. I managed to earn $0.65 in about 15 minutes when I was trying the site out the other day. I think I'll give it a real try tomorrow.

MTurk is officially supported by Amazon! So it is as genuine as Amazon.com is.
I am also a member of it and the fact is that Indians can transfer the money to their bank account! I haven't been a regular visitor their but I do visit.
There is no doubt about it being genuine.

Mturk is simply suspending too many accounts without proper reasons. They keep the hard earned money of workers. There are too many scam requester even on the front page of this site, they never suspend them, overall it is behaving like a scam site these days, very unfortunate;

Yes,
I have used it on and off in the past 3 or 4 months. I haven't made much money from it, but I only do task on Mturk three or four times a month (smile). Most people seem to like it though. I like okay, but some of the tasks really bore me sometimes.

From my brief look at the site, I've seen that some of the tasks are much better than others. Some tasks pay a lot more for the same amount of effort as others paying far less.

I use mTurk and I really like it. I haven't been there for awhile though. I've used my earnings to help me purchase some stuff on Amazon. It was a great help.
