Long Form BIRTH CERT vs Live Birth

United States

Now I know many are screaming for a long form birth certificate and God knows that is your right. I just wanted to clarify I have my original long form birth certificate and I am 45 years old. I have 5 children one of which was born on a military based hospital for this child I have record of live birth which has been accepted for everything she has done including getting her a passport. When I look at the long form and the live birth the amazing part is that the live birth gives much more information than the long form birth certificate does. Long form birt certs do not tell you the name of the doctor nor the hospital in which a person was born but the live birth does. My daughter which is now almost 18 years of age has never had the long form. They can not locate it. I believe that Obama will pop up wtih the long form but will it really resolve anything? Will it be enough? I am sure at that point they will be bringing to court saying it is a fraudulent, will it ever really just go stop?

No, grammasnook, it look like some of the republicans and radio conservative talk show hosts do not seem to want to let it go away, no matter how "vetted" President Obama is, how thoroughly he has complied with all the rules, or how valid his birth certificate is. And that is a shame. So far, he is prooving himself to be a very good president! My original hospital was stolen along with many other things a few years back! Ack! Karen

Are you talking about the one your parents get from the hospital or an actually birth certificate that's filed with the state you were born in?

Well to be fair it just isnt the republican it is also the other parties as well. I happen to like many of his ideas. I will never agree with everything that one president wants to do. He is trying to hit many different problems at the same time, we were just use to them not getting much done within a 4 year term and now kaboom he attacks with many things. I know it seems like Obama has rushed many things my question is just because congress takes a long time to pass a bill does not MEAN they are reading it.. lol

Irish a live birth is the original that the hospitals give the parents this is what is sent into the state to make your real cert.

What it will show is if the information on his long form and the information on his Live Birth form are the same. If they are, then both are legitimate, if they aren't, then he may not be eligible.

Grammasnook,Exactly,it doesn't matter what it is someone will be yelling foul play!Somebody always has to be there to complain about something.

Ted I know you are one person that will accept that and it will be good to go but others will always keep on saying foul play. All the information on live birth is not on the long form birth cert though I think that is what I just wanted to say. I know my long form has my name. parents name their occupation, religion and the state I was born in. My daughter cert has all that plus the hospital and doctor. We shall see though I just really hope that it is done soon, and people accept it when it is proven he is or isnt

I didn't know there was a live birth and a long form.I am 48 years old and have birth certificate with all the information on it including my mom's thumb print and my foot print.I have 3 kids and they were all born in the same state, but different counties.Theirs are all typed, not hand written like mine and have the same information as mine does. So,I do not know the difference. I don't really care if he comes up with a long form birth certificate or not.I believe and have always believed that President Obama was born in the United States. And like you said some person or group will come crying it is fraudulent! There is always someone there to yell or cry the blues about something.

That birth certificate has a seal on it from the place I was born,Washington,DC.It was filled out and the prints were put on it at the hospital. Then it was sent to the city vital records office and the seal was put on it and signed by the official. Then it was mailed to my mother.I have used that all my life and never been questioned about it. A few months ago I had miss-placed it and called the vital records office and described my certificate and asked if I can still get a copy of that kind of certificate.I was told, yes, that that is how the birth certificates were made in the 1960's.My son's were born in the 1980's and my daughter in the 1990's in Virginia.I simply received a "keepsake" birth certificate that was hand written with baby's name, parents names, birth date, birth time and birth place as well as hospital name and doctors name. Then in about a week I received the "official" and "legal" birth certificate that was type written with the same information and including the county that the birth took place.

The certificate you have with a footprint is done in the hospital that is not or should not be accepted anywhere they are considered like a souvenior I just got finished reading about those ones and that is what they said about the ones with a footprint. I also believe he was born in America as well. Time will tell I guess.

No it will not stop until he provides something satisfactory. I too have a duaghter who was born in the UK - her father was in the military but she was born in a UK hospital - we went through all the correct procedures to register birth as an American. We made trips to the US Embassy in Liverpool and at 8 months old she travelled with me to the USA with her own passport which she still has - she is now 50. I travelled on a British Passport. I think what is bothering a lot of people - me included is the thousands of dollars - at last count close to a million- that Obama has spent keeping all of his records under wraps. John McCain who was born to a military man out of the USA provided his birth certificate - so why not Obama - what does he have to hide and why is his paternal grandmother in Kenya being kept under guard since she spoke out saying that she was in attendance when he was born in Kenya. And by the way - his mother was not in the military.

I know his mother was not in the military I just gave my story and the fact that she had a live birth cert just like Obama does. and to show that it just gives more information than the long form was all.

I think eventually we'll see the "real" birth certificate but not while he's in office. The question that I have is, once it's seen by the public, is that going to change the way we nominate our next presidents? Scary thought but a real one nonetheless. Another subject, I sent you this private message two months ago and am waiting your reply..... Can you please help me? Thanks so much!! Has your sister been to the miracle doctor yet? Can you please find out what the name of the diagnosis of her dizziness and what was the medicine she was prescribed? Mom is at her wits end and doesn't know what else to do. I'm having to do all her house cleaning for her since she can't do it herself and she hates it so bad. She wants to be like before, independent but she can't till she get this dizziness to go away. She's fallen again and broke another rib so it's really important to find out what the medicine is for she wants to relay it to her neurologist the next time she goes.

There's a misunderstanding somewhere, I'm not sure where but the only response I received from you is about your sister having a wrinkled nerve in her brain and that she was going to see a neurologist in the near future and something about a certain medication that will help her. That's all I got from you. If you sent me a pm back, I didn't get it. Her dizziness isn't psychological at all, it's part of the stroke that she had and we're all grabbing at straws trying to help her any way that we can and any suggestions are very much of help. So I'm assuming that it wasn't a wrinkled nerve in your sisters brain after all? I don't mean to be a bother, because I want so much to help my mom if I can I'm probably bothering you. Please accept my apology.

Cats I responded to your personal message and I do so apoligize to you I never get messages and therefore I never check them. With everything your mom has been through over the last year maybe it is psychological. This is what they think of my sister. The suncontious being too over protective to let us do anything that might endanger us the "fear" Just taking a guess there, because they could not medically understand where the dizziness was coming from. The problem they found in her brain would not be a reason for dizziness.

The short answer...probably not. This really should have been settled a long time ago because I really believe that it's gone past the point of resolution now. There is so much distrust of the government that, no matter what is produced, it will likely be called a fake...and the discourse goes on.

Spalladino, I think that the theory you wrote about is more than plausable for this issue continuing. The question I have does this type of law work the same as criminal law.. as in does he have to prove he is or do they have to prove he isnt. criminal law states prove me guilty until then I am considered innocent.

I don't even come close to being an expert on the law or the government so I can only go with what I've read and heard. As far as I know the courts have no jurisdiction over the Executive branch of the government so, even if a judge ruled against Obama in one of these civil suits, the court does not have the power to force a president to do anything. That would have to come from Attorney General Eric Holder and, since he's an Obama appointee, I don't see that happening. I read something once about the mayor of D.C. having the ability to force something but I can't remember where I read it or exactly what power he has and why.

I'm not sure which one mine is but I do know it has my name, my parents name, the name of the doctor, hospital and county clerk that registered my birth. It gives the time, date, and has a state seal where I was born. There's absolutely no doubt where I was born. My Mom has one like mine, so do all three of my brothers, my Dad, my stepmom, stepdad, niece and nephew. So the question remains, if 0bama has one and why wouldn't he if he's on the up and up, what is the big deal about showing it? You asked if it would resolve anything if he produced it, the bigger question is why wasn't this resolved from the start. I remember when McCain's eligibility was questioned, he hauled in his medical records, his parents records and it turned out he was born on a military base in the Panama Canal...which, since his parents were in the military, automatically made him a citizen. My point is that it was immediately resolved. It just seems stupid for someone to let all the questions go unanswered, let all the gossip and concern run wild rather than just put an end to it. In honesty, I haven't heard one 0bama supporter come up with a reason why 0bama hasn't put an end to this. ~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS**

the reason that they are going after the long form is the laws were different back then in Hawaii, and even if you were born somewhere else you could still get a Hawaii birth certificate. So the long form one will tell where he was actually born. My long form birth certificate does show which hospital i was born in, and it also lists the doctor that delivered me.
