I feel with Paula Abdul gone American Idol will definitely not be the same. I also believe it will be the beginning of the end for the show. I really believe the show will be quite boring. There will no longer be any fun between Paula and Simon. Nor will there be any true heartfelt feelings for the contestants like Paula has for them. As for talk of Victoria Beckman coming on board for an episode I can't see that at all. She is such a boring person. Quite stuck up if you ask me. Well I have watched every show from the beginning and now I will not be watching. I will find something else to watch or maybe read a good book. Will you watch American Idol in January with Paula Abdul no longer on the show?

Yes I will still watch the show. I don't watch the show to see the judges get into arguments. I watch the show because of the funny auditions. After the auditions I don't watch the show anymore, because it is no longer fun to watch anymore. I love all the bad singers who think they can make it. It makes me laugh really hard. So Paula being off the show really doesn't affect me one bit.

Oh ok alot of people I think watch only the funny audtions and then watch the last show to see who wins. I won't be doing either. Thanks for responding.

Yeah I don't ever watch the last episode. I usually get told, or hear on tv at different stations who won. Wow you must be completed commited to wanting Paula back to stop watching American Idol all together. Well the best of luck for you.

It was the same in the UK when Sharon Osbourne left X Factor, then Danni Minogue, and now they have replaced her with Cheryl Cole and the show is as popular as ever. Some people just watch it for the judges but i dont like too, its about the talent. Oh and the hilarious remarks that Simon Cowell comes out with

I just think it was not fair that they wouldn't pay her the money when both Simon and Ryan all getting so much. She has been there from the beginning. It won't be the same and I truly hope alot of people stop watching so the producers will see the mistake they made. I don't watch it mainly for the judges but there input and Paula's heart made the show what it is I think. Thank you for responding.

Im not up to speed on why she had left but it was over a pay dispute? Thats a bit tight of Simon Cowell after all he's the one running these things, imagine how much he makes from american idol, x factor, britains got talent, americas got talent, americas inventor etc etc, they are all his.

Sorry i forgot to ask, are they going to replace her and is there any talk of who yet?

I won't miss Paula. I got tired of seeing her drunk/hungover. I really hope she gets the help she needs now that she's not doing the daily grind of taping the American Idol show. When they announced last year they were adding Kara, I knew it was the beginning of the end for Paula. She has caused too much embarrasment for the company. Can't wait to see how Victoria Beckham will do, and what outfits she wears or the auditions and taped/live shows, lol!

I feel the need to set the record straight Paula was not drunk it was due to medication. As for Victoria Beckham I have heard she felled miserable due to having no personality and warmth. Which I had already knew was going to happen. Also for thoses who don't know she doesn't like to smile in public, how boring a person can she be. I have know idea what her husband sees in her. She was only suppose to do one day of audtions. They were going to bring in different people for each audtion.

I will probable still watch because it is one of my favorite shows, but i also believe that it will never be the same with out Paula, and i hope down the road that she will return. It is going to be next to impossible for them to replace her.

I really like Simon, and i think that he adds a lot to the show, I think that Paula was the heart, but Simon is the sole.

Yes I also liked the chemistry between Paula and Simon that was fun to watch. Its just not going to be the same with Paula gone. It was one of my favorite shows but I believe the Producers screwed up by not giving her the money she wanted. If they can give 45 million over three years to Ryan what was 10 million to Paula. Not to mention whatever Simon is making which is alot more than Ryan. For this reason I won't be watching because one again a woman is not making what a man makes and its just not fair.

That is the main reason I won't watch because it won't be the same. Paula has a heart and she would never be rude to a contestant. Now if you look at the other judges I don't see it being fun to watch anymore. The three of them will be just too boring for me to listen to week after week. Thanks for responding.

Certainly, Paula Abdul is a major part of the show. Although her presence will be missed, I believe that Kara does a masterful job at providing constructive criticisms for upcoming singers that she'd be a gem to have around. Professionally speaking, I think Kara is a better judge to have in the show than Paula, although the latter's unforgettable personality will sorely be missed. :)

I think Kara like Randy talk about the technical part of the performance where Paula will do the same but also give encourgement and never say anything to hurt a performer. That is what made her unique. Thank you for responding.

Paula was a great judge and it was very great to have seen her on A.I judging everyone. She was very nice and easy-going too. I think that A.I would get harder and harder for contestants to move on to the next round or whatever. I think its because of her, that so many people have been able to move on to the next round. I was really sad to hear she was leaving A.I. :(

I agree with you she let people thru because she has a big heart that the show won't have anymore and it just won't be the same. Thanks for responding.

I just read that Victoria Beckham is in Denver at the second-call audtions. I'm guessing they will be using different people to judge during the auditions and then find someone permenant when they have their top contestants. I won't be watching.

Yes, very true that you said that. I wish she would stay so that A.I could continue its great show and allow so many talented singers to show their talent on the show. and to be honest, I think Simon should be replaced, haha, he is nothing compared to paula!

I will still watch the American Idol even though she is not around any more. It is true that everybody feel so sad we found out that Paula Abdul are no longer on the show. About the replacement, I still can figure out who are the other female celebrities that can replace Paula Abdul. But just need to accept the fact that live must go on. The are millions of celebrities in US, we will find another Paula Abdul someday. As for me even though I am not from US but I will still follow the show no matter who is the host.

I never watch the show, but it seems when a major actor is replaced... the show seldom keeps it's momentum and eventually fades away.

i watch american idol and i think that paula abdul is a great person , good judge and entertaining to watch as well. but does not affect my decision to watch the show. i watch the show mostly for the contestants. i will not feel sad if i don't get to see her on that show again. she will still visible on television so i can still see her on tv maybe on some interviews or another show. whatever she will appear i surely going to watch here there i will not miss her any more.

My days are done I just think loyalty plays a part in this for me and not receiving an increase in money like Ryan and Simon got is not fair. Is it because she is a woman. My days are done with it and I hope this will be the beginning of the end of this show just to show the producers they screwed up royally. Thanks for responding.

I'm also thinking if I still want to watch AI with or without Paula, I like her because she gives encouragement to the contestants even if they did not perform well. I started watching AI season 7 up to last year, where I bet it will be Adam Lambert who will make it, but after the controversial so-called rigging of the votes, I really got disappointed.

To me Paula was the only one with a heart on the show and the contestants are going to miss someone on their side. I still won't be watching but thanks for responding.

i guess it will be a littler strange but i know american idol will keep on going no matter what. i've never actually been a fan of american idol and i've never kept up with it so i'm not quite sure how she was like on the show but like you say, she must have been an relatively good judge considering the fact that she had been on the show for a really long time. well i just hope they will find a new person and i hope paula will find something else to do.

Well she was the only judge with a heart so she will be greatly missed by the contestants. I heard she's getting alot of offers. AI has lost a loyal viewer of the show. Thanks for responding.

I always watch the show, never miss an episode. I can't believe Paula won't be there anymore. She was half the fun. The love hate relationship between her and Simon. Despite her spacy comments sometimes, she really does know what she is talking about. She was a legend in her time and she is very familiar and knowledgeable in the industry.

It's so sad to see her go. i heard or read from the news that she wasn't a happy camper and some would say it has something to do with the talent fee that's she's been receiving. or because the management wasn't treating her well. for what's worth i hope the American Idol finds a better judge than those who left the show....
