Dishonest and thieving people

I made a trip to (I hate to admit this!) Walmart earlier. I did my shopping, paid for my prescription, and left. I have physical limitations, and had someone help me unload my purchase from my cart and into the car. I was assured that my prescription was in the car. When I got home, I realized that my prescription was not in my car or in my bags, although it'd been in the cart as we were unloading. I called the store's customer service dept and no one had turned the bag in. It was not found in the carts outside or in the parking lot where we had been.
Now I am without my medications for a month - I can't afford the cash cost of having it replaced, the pharmacy cannot refill it for at least 7 more days. Once the pharmacy refills it, my insurance company flags it and will not cover the cost of replacing it for one month AFTER the last time it was refilled - regardless of whether it was paid for with cash. :( Someone's walking around with my inhaler and painkillers to either use, sell, or simply discard.
What do you think about this type of dishonesty?

Unfortunately, there's a market for prescription medications on the street so that prescription bag was very tempting to someone. You should call the police and file a report about this. Your insurance company might be willing to work with you if you do that.

yeah I know.. :( I live in a reallllly small area, and the police won't be bothered to come to me to file the report. The insurance company doesn't care - paid for once a month and that's it regardless of circumstance... went through this when I lost one a few months ago during a car accident. Im going to call back up to the store in an hour or so to see if anyone's turned it in.

it's bad that there are people who could afford to do that and cause somebody their life. .. It sad that you cannot take your medicines for days .. I hope there would be other ways to find it soon. ..

That is one of the lowest things I've ever heard somebody do! That is unbelieveable that someone would stupe that low! I'm sure whoever stole your meds sold them on the street and made some extra cash! It is sickening to hear this had happen to you! Also the health insurance company should give you some lea way for letting you replace your stolen meds! Geez! People are so evil and dishonest!

Oh my..I'm so sorry to hear this. My very dear father is under maintenance medications and I can't even start to imagine if the one month supply gets lost!
Were you able to ask that someone who helped you unload your purchases from your cart to your car? Dishonesty sucks big time! I do hope you get to retrieve your medications the soonest time...

Isn't this just awful?! I wish you could get your medicine refilled again, although I know it would be expensive. I'm sure you need it, though. If whoever helped you unload your purchases to the car said your prescription was in there, management should be notified of this. This person wasn't very honest. I hope you can get everything straightened out and get the medicine you need. Hugs! Kathy.

Because of people like that I am ashamed to call myself a human. I've ran into people like that through my life and I can only say... Well I don't really have the words to describe my hate for them. I really hope you'll be able to get your medications. I'm sorry that that had to happen to you.
