Should Willie Revillame be suspended due to his behavior about Cory's funeral?

He shouldn't be 'cause he got a point! Wowowee should be fun that time. It would be quite disturbing to see a video of a coffin while the show is having fun right? I salute Willie for being aware of it. Even the Aquino family understands what Willie's motive really is. For me, it's NOT arrogance. What Willie did is actually a form of respect. However, some people misinterpreted it and thought it was unethical. Once again, Willie should not be bothered. I truly understand what he's trying to say that time.

Well I was looking at that show and yes it was badly delivered by him. He could do that when he could have asked for it to be removed nicely but he said it rather callously and in bad taste. I think for that he deserves to be disciplined by ABS. It is like abusing his powers as a host for the station. He can even have asked it to be removed off cam and not on cam. I think Willie forgot that it is no his station to control and there are many discreet ways to ask for it to be removed on his show. I can understand his reasoning it is logical that to show Cory's burial as an inset to the show was really not appropriate for the show but then he could have asked for it discreetly that he would not act like grandstanding in there.

Whatever his motive, his behavior towards the live coverage was arrogant and rude. This TV host should be given a crash course about ethics and good behavior as a TV Personality, it seems he didn't know it. Announcing on a live show that the small screen of the coverage should be removed is totally insensitive and disrespectful, why he announced it live?he could talk to the staff during commercial break. ABS-CBN should teach him a lesson, suspension is the best option for him. But I don't know, it seems this person with unbecoming behavior never learn a lesson, how many times he was suspended for an irresponsible actions?but then he still continue to misbehaved.

It is just right that Willie Revillame be suspended for his rude actions. He was so insensitive to say it live, he could have express his disapproval towards the airing of the coverage on his show "off camera" directly to the staff and not in front of million viewers. This man should take a crash course about good ethical standard of a TV personality, it seems he lacked that, how many times he acted irresponsibly in front of the national television?This incident is not only his mistakes. It appears that he wanted to be praised all the time without thinking that some of his actions are damaging and demeaning. I stopped watching wowowee because every time I watched the show, I always cringed with his misbehavior and arrogance towards guests and other hosts, very unbecoming.

big mistake! why in the first place the network took him to host a show since he is known to be bastos and no class at all. He thinks hes the greatest that he can manipulate people in the program. You can see how he treats his co hosts and the dancers, its like theyre not part of the show. He is rude and take advantage of the poor by getting tv ratings. he should be sacked.

He may have a a good intention on why he told that. But apparantly its the way how he said it. Probably, he did not meant any harm when he told it but for some it was interpreted differently. He should have said it behind the camera for the people not to misinterpret it. Since this thing happened already, as per MTRCB, he violated a rule so he has to explain and probably do the public apology or experienced the final sunction-to be axed from the show. Well,there are already lots for things that was told but he is still there on the same station airing the same program for quite sometime now. He is earning and people are being helped in this program and viceversa. I just hope it could be settled thru talks and if possible do the following sunctions if necessary because there are also rules to be followed and not be taken for granted.

Hi. I didn't saw the actual airing of the show where Willie said something about the news inset, but only in the news reports after the incident. I have nothing against Willie. In the kind of work he has, he should know that they have guidelines or rules they should follow. Just like here on myLot, we have rules to follow. In every rule we violates, there is corresponding punishment. Willie violates the code of ethics of the KBP and he'd be given proper punishment or should be it be? PEACE!!!

Hi fatherblogger. That is our current issue we have now in the news. I actually didn't saw the show when Willie did that things. In my personal opinion it was really contrast to show the sad part of former President Aquino's body being transferred to Manila cathedral while on the other side of the screen it was Willie's show full of energy, noisy and trying to entertain people by doing their regular entertainment activities. I really find it awkward and was really saying that it should not put on screen together but it was really never come to my mind that Willie will do such and he will acted that way. It was really disappointing seeing someone acting that way during those times. I know his point and I also had the same views about that thing but he should have said it off cam not infront of million viewers watching not just from local viewers but also from other part of the world. It's not really right and for me he should have given some lesson to become modest and to know the right behavior in front of television..

Well it is already done...willy was absent on his noontime show this afternoon. I admired that program and the generosity of him, but what had happened few days back during the live hooked up of Pres. Cory's burial, I don;t like it anymore. Everyone is right when they commented that willy now is already an arrogant person not like before..I was planning not to watch his show anymore... Right now I know ABS-CBN give him a lesson, which is really good to those person who's head are already big and became an arrogant...and this is sign is good for willy

Yes, i think so that he has to be suspended or whatever level of lesson they can give to Mr. Revillame. It was because of "how" he said those words on live show, not because of his intentions that makes him sad because Pres. Cory is gone. I have seen the news and the words he spoke out on live television show wasn't the same like what he is claiming that his intention is not bad. MTRCB Chairman herself said that he should have spoke that off cam or during commercial break, but then it was so boastful and arrogant and he is really not funny anymore about what he is doing. The Producers also has something to say with this, I think that they should give sanction to Willie R. He should have known better than to speak such words arrogantly. Let's see what will happen again.

I think willy should learn how to express his self to the national tv.There are right words that can be said. That is why he should be reprimanded.

Yes, I do think that Willie should be suspended for his very rude behavior. Let's face it, money will never bring him good manners and good breeding. In my opinion, he is so arrogant that he always act like he is the big boss who can do whatever he wants anytime he wants to do it. That is why I think that a punishment in the way of a suspension will be good for him. This can serve as a lesson learned for him. I was really irritated because he should never have said that in public, much less when the whole country is grieving over the loss of its great icon. Good manners should have prevented him from speaking so rudely. But the bottom line is that sadly he just really has no manners whatsoever at all.

You said it right, it should have been done OFF-CAM. If you were to tell something, better tell the person directly. He may have a point there, but on my personal point of view, it was still uncalled for. Arrogance was in the air every time I watch it in YouTube. One thing that I would also want to stress, though I am watching his show regularly, at that particular moment, it was about the news of Tita Cory that I was waiting for. I know that some people share my sentiments. I hope that he would realize and admit that he was wrong. It is now time for the management of ABS-CBN to be prudent in their decision. What he had done should not be tolerated.

I have watched it several times now and i feel disturb every time he says those words. i agree with one user here that he should have said it off cam. because they were a lot of sensitive people participating in the Cory's burial. he might be punished by this, that's one thing for sure. he really needs to learn how do discreet because people will misunderstood him. . . am also not a willie fan but he shouldn't do this again.

Hi there, i do watch wowowee but i missed this one i just saw the news about this last night in TV Patrol, well for me I dont like the actions that Willie did. I mean its not proper to say that in front of your viewer, sometimes i am thinking that Willie was really a powerful person thats why he think that he can speak whatever he want. I guess this action of Willie is something that he doesnt think first before saying it in public. Well lets wait for MTRCB for any actions about this one. Keep on mylotting.

Well, he always want to put things on a show. Then, he was so nervous on how to put up his own show that he came up to a half-negative proclamation of his thoughts. I think he just over-reacted on his feelings to much. There should be a small sanction to his actions
