Hello!Take me for example, I am interested in Japan because I am fascinated with traditional Chinese culture, and Japanese culture is originated from traditional Chinese culture. Today's China is very modern and western, while Japan has preserved much tradition. That is why I am interested in it.
How about you?

Japanese life can be hard, but that is the way life goes. Their business corporate structure is very different from our own. Respect and formality plays a very important role in their business/professional society.

I'm interested in Japan as it is a prosperous country. Famous for their inventions and successful businesses. It seems they give high paying jobs and quite easy to earn at their country. I think living and working in Japan would give anyone a better future.

I first got respect on Japan after knowing about Carlos Ghosn and Toyota. The japanese carmakers outselling Detroit used to be a big topic. I also liked Sony as it used to be a giant. I heard about taekwondo. But, I am seriously not a fan of it. Japan is also known to ve become a superpower after nuclear blasts. They follow a good culture. They always greet people. There is not much else I know abt Japan.

I'm interested in Japan by means of technology, history, animation, and more. But the most interesting for me is their Samurai Sword. I'm so fascinated how pure and how dedicated they are of making it. How I wish to have an aunthentic one (made by well known sword smith in Japan) as my greatest treasure. I really don't know why I like it so much. Maybe in my past life I'm a Samurai warrior or the Greatest Samurai smith!LOLZ!
Peace!
God Bless!

I am interested in Japan because it is a prosperous country but didn't really forget about their roots.japanese women also looked really young for their age.I am interested how Japan welcomed industrialization and economic growth without ruining their roots and heritage.it is a good combination of 'new meets old' charm.

I am interested its language . It sounds really nice . Japanese anime is very famous all over the world . You say China is western,I cannot agree with you .No matter how Japan preserved much traditon , which are all originated from China. China has a long historical standing . If you really interested in Chinese culture ,you should learn it from China .

First of all, I love Japanese architecture and garned design. Old and new. They really have a special way of making art, one of the most original and best balanced I\ve seen and I just love it.
What arroused my interest in japanese culture where acutally 2 things : my profession as a landscape architect and ..anime/manga. Getting in touch with the world of anime made me curious about their value scale and their traditions. That explained a lot to me about certain aspects of their life and way of building.
Also, their language is very interesting and by being familiarized with ot from the anime I started liking it a lot.
I would really love to one day visit Japan, the old temples and castles, go to a spa and enjoy their great new amusement parks, like the one in Okinawa
