Not usually.. maybe if i stare at the computer for hours.. and i mean HOURS then yeah i'd get a headache and want to look away or take a break from it but usually I have no problem with being on my computer and going online or so..i think you should probably get up and stretch around a bit if that happens again and try to make sure that you don't spend excessive amounts of time in front of the computer. I'm not so sure how to help you out with it.. maybe see a doctor if it doesn't get any better?

i think that headache is basically b'coz u keep gazing at the system without blinking ur eye.. so do one thing go out for morning walk everyday and also do eye exercise that will help in improving ur current situation quite a lot!!

I ,also, have same experience in front of the computer that i had got a headache.i think
that it 's happen to throw up or get a headache as a result of working for long time and being used to use the way of computer .So,you maybe change time in front of computer.Or,take a break, look aroud windows..Rember,you make sure that you won't spend excessive amount of time in front of computer when you feels incomfortably.

i've been a office worker for the past ten years. my job requires me to sit in front of the computer for most of working hours. i try to take a break from the computer every hour or so. calibrating the computer screen to a comfortable level also helps. too bright or dark a screen will cause strain on the eyes and thus discomfort. having the light shining directly at the screen will also cause glare and thus headache. hopefully these suggestions will help with the headache and nauseous.

There isn't really a fixed level for everyone. It depends on your environment and ambience. If you surrounding is bright, too dark a screen will strain the eye. Conversely a too-bright screen in a dark environment will do more harm than good. Just play with the settings until you can look at the screen without squinting and your eyes feel comfortable. Try to get a monitor with a higher refresh rate too. Cheers

Good day to you. Yes, I suffer some problems if I sit too long at the computer with no breaks. I make an effort to get up and move about a couple of times each hour, walk about and stretch a bit, look out the window and off into the distance, to prevent these aches and such. Also, I try to be aware that I use good posture when sitting at the computer. This also helps avoid the problems of being in one place too long.

Hi,
I use computer all day. During the working time, i do my bussiness on our company internal internet. After work, i visit mylot and surf on internet. But i never feel headache or nauseated. I am also heard some people may feel vertigo or disgust when they play some three-dimensional game. I am not sure of why this happens. My suggestion is just have more rest when you use computer for a long time.
Happy mylotting!

Hello Sutent!
That's good for you my friend Sutent! You can stay as much time you want to spend on the computer. Sadly, I can't due to my astigmatism that triggers my migraines... Being in the health care field, it is our sole responsibility to take care of ourselves as much as we want to give care for others.
Happy mylotting!

Dear BloodTypeO,
Since spent hours infront of my PC doing myLotting, I am having
backache, neck ache and right shoulder aching (holding the mouse)!
In between long hours, I will go and get some drinks, disturb my
son, go and help my husband, do some stretching...its improves!
Perhaps in your case, leave your seat and doing some other activities.
Eat some sweets...etc.
Thanks and hope you are feeling better now! Take care

Dear BloodTypeO,
Maybe it has to do with your eyesight...
the moving words as you scroll down the pages
may give you the giddy/drowsy 'sea sick' feeling
that might make you feel like nausea-ing..
Have a check on your eyes..estimatism or other problems...
consult a doctor will be good if else won't help!
Tks and take good care!

hi bloodtypeO!^^
it doesn't happen to me. but i do get irritated eyes sometimes from staring at the computer all day. i think people who gets nauseous or getting a headache from staring at the computer has problems with their eyes or it probably comes with age. i know a few people who are in their late forties and early fifties who can't stand staring at the computer all day. and most of them are wearing glasses so it probably has something to do with their eyes. ^^
you should take a break once in a while, like after an hour or two from staring at the computer. like a 30-minute break, just rest your eyes.^^

LOL. I make a living in front of the computer. I do think you might be tired, sick or that the brightness of the monitor is hurting your hurts. Is the position of the monitor and keyboard comfortable for you when you are at the computer? Try using another computer and see if the same happens. I once used a monitor with green colour letters and I see pink after that. With prolonged usage, I do get headache. I changed the monitor and the problem goes away.

Sometimes when I'm in front of the computer for a long while in the dark, my eyes get tired and I have a little upset stomach. The only thing I can think to do is get away from the computer for awhile and drink some hot tea.

Only rarely do I have that problem. Usually it's when I'm having to concentrate hard on what I'm reading for too long. Or occasionally if the monitor is too small making it difficult to read everything. I'd try a larger monitor/screen if I were you.

It may not happen every time, but there are times when spending extended time on the computer does cause some nausea. I had vertigo the other day and I'm convinced being on the computer too long was a contributing factor.

Not really but my eyes gets tired when i stay long or work at the computer. DOes the glaring light affects your feelings. YOu might wish to lower the light so it wont hurt your eyes and gives you headache.

I wouldn't feel nauseated sitting in front of the computer all day, but I would probably have a headache and perhaps my neck and shoulders would ache. I spend a lot of time on the computer, but not all at once. I tend to leave it and come back to it throughout the day. - Derek

Hello Bloodtypeo!
Yeah I often experience getting nauseated and have a bad headache if I stay too long on the computer. I have astigmatism on both eyes that is why I am experiencing this.
My astigmatism on my right eye is not as bad as my left eye.The doctor told me to limit my exposure to the computer. And if I stay too long, I get migraines. huhuuh...
This is why I come and go on the computer. I check and reply to discussions for awhile for not longer than an hour. Then I'll be back again some other time of the day.
Have a great day! Happy mylotting!
