Why people make excuses

oh dear, im sorry to say this but don't combine excuses and lie as one bcoz lie can hurt someone.. its deep in meaning and can be harm... excuses is only to GRANT EXEMPTION, PERMISSION to validate a certain thing.. a lie is for example: if i took valuable things and that they keep on looking for it and i just simply say i dont know who took it. or if i kill someone and i said i didnt kill them, then that what makes me a lier... in my above post those are simply my best excuse to grant EXIT from the house without hurting them.. Asking for their PERMISSION in a different manner so they will not think that i will going to do bad things for them to be at peace though i know that was wrong but i only want to be with my friends, like go night swimming go out of town, visit one of my friends house at the province... and my friends are never been a bad influence to me, they help me a lot. just so happened that my siblings was not that open minded to accept things that every individual must have while growing up.. If i tell them i want to go out with friends, since they are so strict and almost lock me inside my room.. then i dont think they will allow me... even now, some teen or teenagers make excuses just to grant permission. and if i made excuses for being late its bcoz that's true, and that i cant predict.. like traffic, heavy rains or perhaps accident along the way.. and absent for being sick or that i need to do some important thing.. make a valid excuses so they will grant me PERMISSION... So excuses is not something to do with hurting someones feelings or that can harm.. simply bcoz i only made excuses..

Maybe saying lie was a bit harsh for your particular situation.But it still falls in the category of lies. A innocent fib possibly ? Still a lie but doesn't harm anyone. I think its great that your parents care enough to ask,many don't care what their kids do anymore ,especially when they are old enough to take care of themselves. Feel blessed for the TLC ,you receive.

yes your right, that what makes best for excuses.. like if you go out or be with your friends.. they will think that your doing bad things with your friend.. so you will make excuses.. something that makes them feel better and at ease..
