When i was a child i used to play with fire, i have proof - old burn scars on both my arms... i don't know y i liked to play with fire, i have even put a small bush tree on fire and the flames went up high, me and my friends got scared and just ran away when the fire grew huge, luckily it didn't spread on to other trees and no one was hurt...the people were cursing us and never did i and friends play with fire again except me doing small scale destruction in the house like hot burning plastic droplets of fire and that is how i got scars!.... of course i don't play with them now.... but did you play as a child ? just curious...

Scars on both arms by playing fire? that really hurt. When my siblings and i were kids, we used to play fire too! You're not the only one who did such prank. But our helper always scolds us to put it away cause fire is to dangerous and easy to spread. My parents get angry too when they see us hold matches. We used to burn strands of hair or even small sheets of paper. Fortunately, the fire did not spread like the one that happened to you. Since then, fire is being utilized only to light candles or even decorate papers for friendship letters.

For many people, playing with fire is not dangerous during using only at is determined area or a special stage to present a fire game. But we also have to take a care if any child which like to play with fire. with the mind which still very finite, sometimes children do not know at risk to playing with fire can cause a matter which they cannot anticipate previously. As our adult ought to pay attention to and give a guide to children of so that they take a care in playing with fire. Observing children playing at difficult it is true their cause is very active. I tell this small time cause is I aspire after to play with fire with friend. Do not know why, but play with fire at that time a matter amazing ......

yeah... children who are small enough to understand the dangers of playing with fire should be completely restricted from playing with fire, and also do the ones who know the risk should be kept watch on... no one knows when it can spread out like a wild dog!... even playing with fireworks is actually dangerous....

Making a big fire outside and jumping over it is popular where I am.. I used to play with candles and burns a little my mom's carpet. I also liked to throw things in the heater, I was allowed to maintain the fire cause iw as carful. It is dangerouse but we were curious and loved the light and sparkles it makes, good thing you bare only scars. My scras consist in cuts or falls i had.. I was a clumbsy kid those days and I still bare some "luck" even today lol.

As a child I liked playing with fire... I think every child does! I used to play with lighters and melt candles to play with the wax.

I have never been a fan of playing with fire. I was afraid of getting burnt, especially after one of my legs was burnt and I had 2nd and a little bit of 3rd degree burn from boiling water that fell on my leg...so if fire feels like anything like that I stay away from it.

No,I was scared of fire. My dad worked on a farm and, after harvest time they would burn the fields. On one occasion, the wind changed direction and the fire turned towards my dad so he had to run. I remember him coming home with his hair and eyebrows singed. I like to melt wax crayons and plastic now.....

i think child tend to like fire due to their curiosity. Same with me, as a child i also like to play with fire, and lucky for me that nothing mishap happened.
If you have kids in your house, then you really need to monitor them to make sure they are not playing with fire.

yes you are right, fire was fun as a child but it isn't now, in fact it could be very dangerous, we only realized that when that small tree caught fire, but that didn't stop us from playing with fire in the house....haha... children must be taken care of and seen that they don't play with fire.... thanks for the response:)

Yes, and I would try to bury the evidence, but it would never work, 9 times out of ten my parents would discover it and ground me. What they didn't get is that I wasn't playing, I was experimenting. At least that's what they told them.
Parents have no sense of humor.

oh don't take it that way manonymous, it's not that they don't have any sense of humour, they only didn't want to let you play with fire was just because they cared for you and wanted you to be safe and not get hurt while playing with fire so they just didn't let you play with fire... you might be experimenting but then that too involves risk and they didn't want that too...

Hi voldrox, kids are really innocent and like to play with fire out of the curiosity. From your description, you and your friends did have great interest to play with fire by putting on fire on the small bush tree. It didn’t occur to you all that the fire would grow huge in a short moment. I think it might be a hot and windy sunny day then. So the fire could grow that tremendously rapid. It’s still lucky that the growing huge fire never spread on and caused any undesirable incident finally.
My playmates and I liked to play with fire during our childhood as well. We used the small deadwood picking from the rubber estate near to house, to build a fire. We then took 3 bricks to build a simple stove. It’s really interesting to boil some water in a used milk can on the fire. We tried to fry some cut green leaves in the can as well. Just like what our mom usually did in the kitchen I think this is the instinct of most of the little girls during their childhood
Happy posting

It’s good you grew up and not play with fire anymore. I have no any experience of playing fire when I was child. It was strictly prohibited by my parents. In fact I’m afraid of fire. Not only how dangerous the fire can cause to our property, but also I think I will die if I play with them.
Now we have the problem to educate our children not playing fire at home and I suppose all parents are very careful with it.

Hello there voldrox,
Glad to read you no longer play with fire. It can be a very dangerous and destructive past time no matter where a person is, nor however a fire gets started. Once fires start, they usually get out of hand very quickly. Perhaps many who do love to play with fire, have never heard of "Smokey The Bear". *smile*...
In answer to your question, no I never played with fire as a child. But I am replying because I do have some input. Quite a few years ago my late husband's step-grandson Robbie did so love to play with fire, he was definitely a potential pyromaniac. Of course we had no clue at the time until one particular weekend when he came to stay with us and I caught him in our kitchen "playing" with one of those torch like lighters made by Bic or such. He was not overly enthusiastic about lighting ALL of the candles he could find, but also took great joy in explaining how he LOVED to play with fire. He even got really close to burning wooden cabinet doors and curtains. He had an unfortunate childhood for many reasons, but luckily D and me learned of his firebug fling and hopefully helped him to outgrow it.
Take care,
