Dear Mylotters,
Have you ever gone to any luxury star hotels? Have you visited it for any official purposes? Had any party over there?
I have gone twice there. Once I went to a luxury hotel named marriott. I attended an interview from a concern over there. I felt that I was in heaven or somthing. I admired the place so much because of its beauty and cleanliness and luxury. Each and every side I see my image. It was a great experience. I am not rich enough to stay for a single day. but it was great. Second time, a conference from my company.
Both were great. If you have visited it, why don't you share yours? .... Do let me know if you have not visited and do you like visiting those hotels....
Cheers,,, Happy Mylotting

hi phillip! when i was working for an international organization, i was fortunate enough to be billeted in 4 (sometimes 5) star hotels during project presentations, seminars and meetings i have participated in. once, we even have our own attendant in our suite. it really felt luxurious living for about two weeks but i was working a lot that time so i didnt get to enjoy it as much as if it were a vacation. it was a very expensive stay, one that i could not afford out of my own pocket. -lol-
but it was still a great experience. it felt relaxing after a stressful and busy day. the huge beds are so wonderful, you could drown in it. -lol-

the daily activities that we do each day that i really take pleasure in are: eating, sleeping and taking a bath. they make you feel... full, energized and refreshed. sometimes when we are so busy with work, we miss taking pleasure everytime we do one of this three. so the luxurious surroundings of a luxury hotel can provide a luxurious sleep/relaxation in their luxurious beds. it is a luxury for many, so whenever i have an opportunity to stay in those hotels... i really grab the chance. hehehe

I have been to seminars ,at luxury hotels but never stayed over. We vacation at resorts that are 5 Star ratings, but we have everything we enjoy doing while there.
When we figure out the cost of staying in a hotel , meals it seems to add up a bit faster. So we utilize everything we can on the premises, its has everything you want to do and more. I will say that we go off season to save, on the cost a bit though.
We have never stayed more than 3 to 4 nights though because of costs.I must say you can feel pretty comfy in these Ritzy places I could surely stay longer if money permitted,I love being pampered .

Yes, I had visited a luxury hotel in last month. The name is "Renaissance". It is known to be 6 star hotel, I don't know because lots of things were out of function. Like the geyser in Bathroom and Tea Maker. We had to call the room service to get it fixed but they couldn't and we were dissappointed. We thought how can a 6 star hotel like this can have such loopholes ?
Anyways the food was continental, it was good but mostly without any spice and taste. Everything was boiled
We as an Indian like food which is cooked in some good amount of oil and has some great spices.
My family & I seriously did not enjoy the stay at all.
But the surroundings were great and we were also offered a free half kilo chocolate cake, that's the only thing I loved
I am not saying that the 5 star hotels are just for the sake, may be it was our bad luck that we had to face those problems.
Others may have had a heavenly experience in the same hotel.
There is a beautiful lake just in front of then hotel, we didn't even get a room facing that, it was one more bad luck! Because they were around 3 to 4 thousand more costly.

Hi pupupd,
Really sad to hear your experience. You had a bad luck there. I really wonder how a 6 star hotel had such a thing as you said. I wish you would have a better experience in your future. Thanks for sharing your experience... Have a nice day... Cheers....

i think luxury hotels are of no more importance.it is the wastage of money and time.you will also not get the real taste of meals as you can get at your home.if you are going to luxury hotel in favour of your company then you should not spend too much time in that hotel

I have been to a luxury star hotel before, that was the 5 stars and the 4 stars hotel. Thank goodness for the sponsored stay there. It was so expensive I tell you, it could cost up to usd300 a night, and luckily when I went there it was my company trip and it is all covered by the company and if I am not mistaken the total bill was more than usd10000 for 2 nights and for 15 rooms. The service is difinitely good and the food for our breakfast and lunch and also dinner was great. It was served in buffet style and so why wasting it..

I have been to a luxurious hotel when i attended a one-day seminar about Information Security offered by Microsoft and I can say that I cannot afford their rates since I am just an ordinary employee.
I also tasted their meals and it is not that good since it just tasted ordinary like the one you can buy from fancy restaurants.

Yes, I've ever gone to luxury star hotel and I love to stay there! It's nice and luxury, clean and everything like glowing. The foods is great too! Same with you, it's marriott hotel and in my country, Hotel Mulia and Niko hotel. My auntie love to spend new year in star hotel and she ask me to join..so we choose new year pack and stay for 3 days..it's nice! With all the foods and usually there's local artist performance and mask-party there or fireworks.. I often judge a hotel from its bathroom and I must say luxury star hotels has perfect bathroom,,hahaha.. But my parents prefer traveling to the country because they feel bored with all the crowded.. I personally prefer luxury star hotel like my auntie than go to the country.. but it's okay, sometimes fresh air and peaceful atmosphere is my favorite!

I have stayed in the Dorchester in London, its a very famous hotel that lots of celebrities stay in when they come over to London. I had a suite which was basically like a whole flat, bedroom, bathroom, dining room and living room and that cost almost £3,000 for one night. That was one of their basic suites too, the top ones are a lot more expensive.
