I feel ashamed of the fact that I am still unemployed. in few months ill be 20 and will be getting my graduation degree. After doing somuch studies in management, Computers, Sports I am still not sure if the corporates will be ready to accept me. I am tired of being a burden on my parents and want to get a job as soon as possible.
With about a Dozens of Certificates of excellence, I still am not sure of success.
Is it that life just got tougher for me?

At that age, being 20 isn't that bad. You still have time to go to school and gain some more knowledge so when your done you can compete with the real world. It is just way to young to worry about such a thing. You have teachers and test to overcome you should overwhelm yourself with unemployment.
Some people say school isn't for everyone, but in todays era it is a must. We are chosen based on comparative differences.
God bless

Don't worry in 20 age, just trying to apply your letter of application for work. My hushband didn't have job at age 29, already have little kid and me as his wife, but i always supported him to always make letter of application for work. And now my hushband work at foreign company, with high responsibility. Just one the important thing we must know, that we must have expertise to something we love, so they always using us/ depend on us. If you want to have certificate, i prefer that you must have international certificate computer, such as CCNA certificate.

Hey u r now 20...ri8...??and i m a 22yr old guy..still i m studying to know more...and just to fit myself in the ri8 chair......getting dozens of certificates doent proves that u can handle the immense pressure over the comapnies.....for that u ve 2 become matured.....the things dat we read in books are much different than dat are done in the corporate world in real life.....education gives us the basic knowledge abt the things but the practical knowledge u ve 2 gather it from.....gaining corporate or industrial trainings.......wen u will do these trainings u will see.....many different things......u ll get a good knowledge abt the industry.....or this corporate world.....so i wud advise u to b patient and wait for ur chance.....every body gets his/her chance.......it is the way that u take up the chance.....if u r able 2 take dat chance fruitfully u succed in life...else i ll not tell that u r a failure....but u ve 2 wait for the nxt chance 2 come.....so just carry on with ur studies......and try to gain more experience and den go for the job.....

Life just gets tougher with age. Enjoy the time you have living with your parents. Having zero life responsibilities or bills to pay is a very sweet deal. I may be only 22, but I got my first job when I was 20, almost 21. I've been with the same company for a year, and I honestly think that I wasn't ready for a job until then. Something in me wasn't mature enough to handle responsibility until the time called for it. I don't really know what your situation is, but I would definitely rather go back to school and finish my degree than make $7.50 an hour doing what everyone else makes at least $10 doing...

That's alright murtuza, those who who finds job at very early age are those who are working students. I started working after graduation from High School as I have to, in order to pursue my college educatiom. You would really find a true job after college graduation. Don't worry with your good credentials plus little prayers to God you'll soon have a job you well deserve.

I am unemployed and I am 20, what a shame!!!
I make the occasional money by formatting and assembling desktops and some other occasional jobs but that is hardly much.Right now mylot is my only permanent source of income.I wish to spend more time on this site.I am looking for ways to earn online.
Life sure is hard.I am understanding this slowly. There is a lot of hard work ahead.

Hello.
In this world of competition it is not that much easy to get a job at an early stage of 20 and you are not a graduate still. The same is the case with me, I am also 20 and will get my B.Tech. degree the nest year.
But unlike you I am not ashamed of being unemployed and I believe that getting job very early is not a good thing rather getting a good job is what everybody should aim at. It will be of no use if you get job in the company you dont want.
I would like to add that today, Dozens of Certificates doesn't matter. What matters is that how you perform before corporate officials and if they think that you have got the capabilities they are seeking then you can get the job. And don't think that you are a burden on your parents. It is because if you don't get good job and be in trouble in future that will be more troubling for them.
So, have patience and work hard on your studies and personal skills so that you can get good job and make you parents' dreams come true.

Dont worry. 20 is not a age to be worried for being unemployed. I got my first job when I was 21 and it just happens. After graduation, I waited for around 13 months to get into a full time permanent job and i too went through the same agony as you are undergoing now. It is not a grave issue and you still have time and age at your side which is a great morale booster for anyone. I'm sure you will definitely get into a good job and reach great heights. Just do not worry and keep searching for a new job with utmost confidence and sure you will get into a very nice corporate. Have a great day ahead. Happy Mylotting. Cheers:-)

don't worry, 20 years old is considered very young. eventually you will find a good job. i remember i secured my first job after 3 months of graduation, it was five years ago. currently, i am working on my second job. i believe your parents will understand that current economic situation is quite hard to secure a job, just take your time and find a really good job for yourself.
all the best!

Your still young you can still find job. Don't quit have patience. Every parents is like that but be over pressure on what they say. Do your things and you can find one. Certificate of excellences is one factor for success but you need the actual success from your effort from the job you get. You can find a job.
