Liquid calories are worse than food calories

I have just read now in a online news that cutting out liquid calories more will us make lose weight more and help us maintain a normal weight more longer than when cutting down on food calories. here is the link of the news: http://health.yahoo.com/experts/eatthis/35777/a-2010-calorie-shake-and-other-shocking-drinks-to-avoid/ Are you in the habit of drinking shakes and juices we buy from fast food. And even sodas with float on it. Those additions in those drinks can add a lot of calories. and we may not realize on how much calories we are taking from just a single. they can mean even 1000 + calories just for a single drink. And so we must be aware of the caloric content of our favorite drinks. We thought that just resorting to those drinks will us avoid getting calories by cutting off on our food. BUt we may gain more weight. So what are those drinks you often buy. are you aware of its caloric content.

I've been trying to cut back on sweet drinks, or at least make my own with less sugar than the commercial kind. I have almost quit soft drinks altogether because of their high calorie content and use of HFCS, which is dangerous. I've lost about 5 pounds, hardly trying!

If I could take back the calories I took in drinking soft drinks... I hate to think how many pounds they add up to! As the Amish say, you grow too soon old and too late smart! ;-)

Liquids with calories are tasty, but not appetite satisfying. The calorie count can add up fast! I drink spring water and Crystal Light type things, as well as occasional iced tea. I used to drink seltzer water before my lap band.

I do drink bottled water, because I like the flavor and sometimes tap water bothers my stomach. I'm not thrilled about the plastic bottles, but my town has an excellent recycling program, so at least they aren't going into the landfill. Carbonation is out for those with the lap band and gastric bypass surgeries. I loved Coke, but I find I don't miss it at all, and I feel better without it.

i have to agree on this one friend, we definitely love to drink soft drinks and all and in that way we certainly are taking a lot more calories coz we don't keep eating all day...
