What do you thing "Terorist" Mean?

Terorist for me is people who does hurt other people. Terorist is the man who hurt people not the religion they have. for example story: i attack your family then made you lost your family and other people suffer(your sons, your wife, your father, so on)and i made you lost your home. Can you say i am terorist?.... then.... how about if the story goes on... you attack me back and made me suffer too, then other people make attack back to you... because you made them same as me...can you say they are terorist?... how about the opposite? how about you in their eyes? Please have and be an open mind people... the war is never done if this thought is still like this.... how about you?

Xfahctor had the correct definition. Unfortunately todays Government usese the term to describe anyone they want to put in detention without representation. Which could easily be you or me. Janet Napolitano has just such a list.
We live in a very frightening world. The people who disagreed with the health plan that is being crammed down our throats was deemed and unruly mob even though most of them looked to be over 65-70. Just how much of a mob could they have been. I guess walker and canes could get lethal.

I agree with you.... The terrorist for me, just a group of peoples that dastardly act and hiding behind the tranquality of other peoples, some group of sick man who hiding behing the truth. They terror other people physically or mentally. The terrorist for me just a satan and devil in a human body, they have bo brain...

to me what you said id consider as murder and revenge, but if you are looking for the meaning of terrorist id say it would have to describe the people who gave it that name to me there is no such thing as terrorist theres just people who are misunderstood without a voice, and then the ones who want to label them as something they're not so they can get everybody to support there actions when in reality the so called terrorist see these people as invaders trying to take over their county their government and even their way of life. if a terrorist is someone who strikes fear in peoples hearts then id have to define bushes administration as a terrorist group.

Terrorism is persuasion through violence. I suspect the word 'Terrorism' is being removed from the present political vocabulary because 'Al-Qaeda' is the only accepted enemy at this time to this administration.
Considering all the factions of the Muslim Brotherhood and the groups determined to alienate and eliminate Jews--and bring Sharia Law to all world courts, I think there is valid reason to believe that 'The War on Terror' will be happening for a long time.

all i know Islam do not/hate attack each other, Islam love peace. Islam just teach us how to pray and the procedures of pray(sharia Law), teach us to know different is beautiful so we know how to respect each other. Long time first, our propets defend his followers/ his religion from other people that want to destroy Islam, so war was begin. May be this thought made "Al-Qaeda" begin war. In Islam Country that have attacked from other(most of them, America government is always help to always attack them/ Islam country). In Indonesia, "Al-Qaeda" is Terorist, because Indonesia is not attacked from other country, but why this wecho's always gave bombs all the times.This wechos killing inocent people. I thing this man is sick. Like i say before" i kill your family but you hate/ have revenge to all people in my country". That's not make reasonable. I hopely Obama is wisely man that always have wise decision. Because America have Veto rights and this make America can doing anything.

in today's world it is very difficult to say who is right and who is wrong. terrorism today seems to be fight between haves and have nots. and everyone justifies his/her own act. on the face of it the powerful countries exploited the poor countries and in return the poor countries retaliated with terrorism. there will always be differences and i am afraid such situations will only worsen. the rich and powerful countries will continue in their attempt to dominate the world and those opposing them will retaliate.
