Should I make friends with him?

I have a roommate here in my university. We live in the same room but I'm totally enough! He is a guy who is always thinking about himself. But at the same time he always wants to know private things of the others. I ever trusted him and told him a lot of things. But afterwards I could here the other friend asked me"Rumor said you...." On my God, how could they know that? I will still live with him for another two years. But I don't know whether I should continue make friends with him. Have you ever met such person? Do you think I should still make friends with him?

Hello friend, very strange situation indeed. I think these kind of friends should not be trusted any more. But I can't understand why you are still living with your roommate. If you are compelled or that much necessary to live with him/her, I would suggest you should try to understand, about why he/she is doing so, may be then you could understand the situation.
I can tell you in such situations you could be surprised to see his/her problem. May be. Just a passing thought.

roomies like these are always a head ache.u can't live completely independent of him.at the same time cant make your secrets public.he has already shown that he is not a trust worthy friend.so i need not explicitly tell u not to disclose ur secrets.
but at the same time,u can't completely ignore him.so disclose some crap n keep him at a distance..

I just fear if I keep him at a distance, I will not live a comfortable life in my room. Every time he went back he would smile to me and talk to me. Despite his weak points, he is still the one who can talk with me in the room. Ah....a see-saw....

yeah..thats what..u cant completely ignore him..at the same time cant speak out all the secrets..
if u are a better handler of situations,turn topic when he asks u for personal things..else directly tell him that u dont wanna speak personal pasts..
what ever u do,be clear to yourself..don't panic before him..
