I am happy to announce I finally reached a clout 7 a few days ago on Associated Content.
I know it's not a huge achievement to most, but it made me happy. Now I can get paid $1.55 per thousand page views rather than the standard $1.50.
I am currently featured as the main article on the front page of the Health and Wellness section for my article: Causes of Back Pain and What You Can Do to Avoid It. I have had another article featured at the top of the front page for Health and Wellness category as well.
To date, I have published almost 170 article and have about 5 that I've submitted and am waiting to be reviewed and published, and I currently have 84 fans, but I am always looking for more. If you support me, I will do the same for you.
I wish I'd been featured as one of the "most commented" but that has not happened to me yet. Has it happened to you? ... How many articles do you write every week at AC? What clout level have you reached? How many fans do you have? Have you had any featured articles? Share your accomplishments, please.

Congratulations!
I have recently request them to totaly remove me from them system while they refused 5 articles in a row for no real reason + them text editor is the whorst ever used on a site.
But, as yourself, I know few people very pleased with AC .. after all, is not foir everybody :-P

Sorry you didn't have a good experience there. Are there other writing sites you use with success? You can discuss them here (but please, no referral links).
(If you message your referral link to me privately I will check them out.)

Sure, go ahead and send it, please. It won't hurt to try it out. How much success have you had? Can you supply more details, as many as possible, about your experience here, please?

Congratulations! Right now, I can't see myself reaching that level. I've been on Associated Content for about two years, and have just gotten to my 15th article. Of course, I didn't write anything at all during the first year, and I also have down times when I don't write much. I'm a slow writer, so I'm glad just to have gotten to clout four recently. I see that the jump to five is enormous, so that won't be happening any time soon.
I doubt that any of my articles will ever be featured. I write mostly on topics that are kind of specialized, but evergreen, not the kind that attract the casual reader. What I like about AC is that if you have a topic that's not terribly popular, but is useful, you can build a steady readership, and that's what I've decided to do.
I do have to say that after fooling around with a lot of other writing sites like Triond, I've decided to stop wasting my time and stick with AC.

Thanks for the kind words. Also remember, however, that the clout is calculated not only by actual page views, but with an added bonus of how many articles you write. That's what calculates the clout. I bet if you write five or six more articles in the next few weeks you could actually jump to a clout 5, or be there much sooner than you anticipated.
I have not tried Triond, but I've tried Bukisa and eHow, which I like very much. Thanks for the info and the kind words! Best wishes.

I understand. I don't write as frequently for eHow, although I did just submit a few "How To" articles on AC I am waiting to be published, then I will post them at eHow.
I have not had any problems with Bukisa, but I do not frequent that site, either. AC still remains my favorite.

Congrats on the clout 7. I recently went from a zero clout to a clout 6. I believe it's because of a video I did of me drawing Michael Jackson, which got over 6000 views in just a month. I find that videos get more views in my case.
I really don't do a lot at AC just every now and then. But I plan to do more from now on.

Wow! I have seen you leaving many comments as well, if your name is Artme... Perhaps you being loyal and consistently leaving comments for other people's articles has encouraged them to also check out your stuff as well. That's great that you went from no clout all the way up to level 6 in a month! AWESOME JOB!

I am at clout level ten. I have just recently made it to that level. I have also won top 1000 for 2009 and top 1000 for 2010. I really enjoy seeing the badges on my page. It makes my profile look really fancy. lol. It also makes me feel like I actually accomplished something. I dont have that many fans but I am working on that.

Way to go! I have never earned any badges, but, then again, I am not very active (or successful -- HA!) there.

Congra Bethany, actually you have double joys for celebration. You make to Clout 7 on your one year anniversary in AC!
Maybe you can reach Clout 10 by the end of the year. The page views in AC isn't so great for the past month or so. Some articles takes longer to get index, otherwise you will reach Clout 7 long ago.
