Employment Drug Testing

Does your job drug test? Either randomly or did you have to pass a pre-employment screen? Do you agree or disagree with testing? Why or why not?
My last job stated that we had to submit a pre-employment screen, but I was made aware of that about 4 hours into my first day! I signed a paper to consent it, but I never did end up taking one, and I am not sure why. I expected on at any time, but my boss never did say anything about it again. Strange, huh?

Not really strange, I've had a few jobs that required pretesting and they never did! What surprised me the most was I had to get a pretty stringent Security Clearance? At one of them and was never tested! Now that seemed really odd! When I worked in manufacturing we were moving some pretty heavy duty machines around and loading trucks and so forth, we used a crane to do this and it was very dangerous, they would test us randomly, and some times they got tipped off! Which didn't bother me one bit, one mistake while doing this and people could easily get killed!

Oh yes..at my job they do randoms. They will come out on the floor and they use a swab to take their speciman. Makes it easier for them to just swab the inside of your mouth I guess. They also test if you get hurt. I did have to take one before I started as well.

Wow, they do swab testing? I am not really familiar with that-it must be much more fool-proof than giving urine specimens, though huh? If you don't mind me asking, what type of job do you have?
