Does Facebook lose its appeal the older you get?

I admit I used to obsess over facebook. I would check it incessantly! But the older I get, the more meaningless it seems. Yea, I like communicating with my friends often...but I'd rather meet with them over drinks not through status messages. What do you think? Does Facebook get old?
