Well, its the weekend and usually this is the only morning family time we get since hubby gets up and out early for work... so as a treat we normally go out to breakfast...well today we woke up to rain and hubby got up and made pancakes for breakfast. They were good too!!! not exactly good for my diet but hey it isnt something we get everyday!! My mother in law came over for her usual lunch visit on saturdays and we had pizza that she brought over since she was out... now I have to think about dinner. I was just wondering --as I was looking through the fridge to figure what will be for dinner... do you cook more when it is raining?? I know we have no desire to go out today since the rain is suppose to get heavier and storms are coming our way--so I will be cooking on my George Foreman tonight.

actualy i'm just the opposite. I tend to cook more not on rainy days. It seams every time it rains we are hauling butt home from eating at a resteraunt because we left windows open lol

I enjo cooking during rainy season because it is cool around and I am not perspiring then...also you feel less hungry or thirsty during the rainy season...during summer it is generally hot here so when I sweat it is really irritating...also I like to eat hot hot spicy food during rainy season...

I don't cook very much, anyway, since I live by myself. The pancakes sound so good! It's not very often I eat them, either, since I try to watch what I eat most of the time. I usually just warm or thaw something out in the microwave and eat it. I've always heard that it's hard to figure out what you're going to have for meals when you have a family. Kathy.

Yes the pancakes were very good... but not something that we have often...and I would not do them often as I normally have fruit and a bowl of cereal/or oatmeal....or just a fruit drink/protein shake for breakfast so it was a treat yesterday!! I totally would buy only frozen meals and plastic utensils if I lived alone...no dishes, and no mess... easy cooking would be for me!!! but I do have a hubby that loves to cook (and not clean up after himself) and the two kids 6 and under.... so lets just say the kitchen was extremely messy yesterday... today i got most of it cleaned up... but what a pain!! thank goodness it is sunny out today -- I dont plan on cooking at all today --we are going up to 96!!! I do not want my stove on!! thanks for the response and have a great day!

I find that there are definitely times that I am more likely to cook. Yes, number one is when it is raining. I just don't like to get outside when it is rainy and going to grab something to eat somewhere definitely means going out in the rain. I don't really like to cook during the summer in general because it heats up the house, but I really enjoy cooking during the winter. I guess that is the reason that I like to cook during rainy weather because it tends to be cooler then than it is on any other day.
