I am happy to share that I checked email this morning and discovered a message from helium that payment had been sent to my paypal account! This was good and welcome news especially wiht my computer acting up. (I am using a borrowed machine at this moment). I may have to take a break from myLot for a few days until I resolve my computer issues, but at least I was able to get the good news from helium!

If I can ever find the startup CD that came with the computer I can reinstall the file...

At least they do it while you are asleep and make you wonder if you really left something someplace. I reached for the remote and it was gone and after I looked around it was exactly in the unobscured spot where I had looked initially! That stuff drives me crazy.
The CDs I need for the computer are in a storage bin or box in one of two rooms. Seems like that would make them easier to find right? My stuff has been shifted around so much post K until I have forgotten what I own.

Good job! I know the feeling too when I received my first payout from Associated Content. It feels a lot better when you are receiving something from a writing site, doesn't it? Or is it just me? It's because of my passion for writing and this acts as some sort of reward for me. well, I haven't tried helium yet but it is one of my options as I try to explore some more writing sites I cna join in. Enjoy that!

I find helium easier than AC because I don't have to come up with a topic, I just look through the empty titles until something strikes a chord and crank out an article. I can usually do 2 or 3 a day, time permitting, and get upfronts and empty title bonuses.
At AC you can earn upfronts quickly if your content is approved but I don't have to wait for approval at helium I get the same amount for upfronts so my income is consistent and based on my output. Also I see results with my article page views right away.
I will eventually get around to developing AC more but for now I am pushing to get 4 stars at helium.

The empty titles definitely make a difference in my output. They make it easier to come up with articles and because the titles are created by helium I know they are definitely interested in the content.

That sounds great. I've been hearing a lot of positive things about Helium and is just looking for the right time so I can get started on that one. But from what I have seen or observed so far, looks like many are considering it even as far better than AC. This "empty title" setup seems to be a nice thing since you no longer have to brainstorm ideas on what possible articles/topic to write about.

Congratulations Canellita. I know it can be frustrating waiting on funds to come in, especially if you have know idea how long you will have to wait. So when they finally do come, it can be very exciting.
I earned a bonus on eHow in May, and have been waiting for them to pay that. I have noticed that it popped up as pending on my earnings page, so I am hoping to receive the bonus along with this month's earnings from them. And I feel the same way you do, it could not have come at a better time.
Congratulations again, and have a great day!

Congratulations to you too on the bonus! I hope you receive it soon. Have you tried emailing to ask why it has taken so long for you to get it?

Congrats :) It should get easier as you go on, on account of more writing experience plus more writing stars plus previous articles earning passive income for you, so not to worry too much about school starting and your comp problems.

Thanks! My current goal is to get to 100 articles before the end of the month. I am hoping to earn another writing star as well.

The computer is still down and will be until I find the start disc. I have the use of another machine for now so it isn't super urgent. I have been focused on posting helium articles because once school starts I will have a lot less time for it.

haha, is this your first payout? Hope the flow of money never stops!
I have a lofty target for Helium this month. I need to clock a total of 119 articles this month to get the 4th writing star.
Since Janice Brand announces that those with 4 or 5 writing stars will have the stars shinning, even if writing score drops, I think it's worth to work for it.
I get out all the management theories and finance textbooks out, hope to write articles based on the concept and theories.

Thanks and same to you!
I totally agree and was shooting for 100 articles by the end of the month but perhaps I need to change that? Maybe I should try by Aug 25, i always forget about the cutoff date for the month and maybe I need more articles, say 125?

Hi Canellita, want to join me in producing 119 articles?
The writing stars and rating stars computation is on daily basis. So if you are talking about adding the number of articles to get the next writing stars, you can submit articles right up to the last day of the month. Just that those articles submitted after 25th will be paid next month.
I aim to write five articles per day, so that I have a few days near the end of the month to leapfrog the articles. Quite tiring to write like that!
Anyway I purposely chooses those topics that nobody wants to write, so that the titles will not become competitive to drag down the writing score.

That is the trouble with this writing business, you can only do so much before your brain goes on overload and refuses to work anymore. I now have 74 articles on helium; if I can manage at least three per day I will make it to 100 in time to be counted for this month with 5 days to spare to try for more.

Looks like you got paid early for the month; that's great. I didn't make payout this month...I was about $5 short, so hopefully next month will be a nice sum for me. I've been slipping in my writing and need to get back onto the writing horse, so to speak.
