How fast is your internet?

I used to have cable before I moved but now I have DSL because my house doesn't have cable, it has been gutted and the little box to activate it has been dry walled up so they were going to charge me a fortune to replace everything so I decided to call the only other option. When I moved cable was at 8 Mbps and only downgraded to 6 Mbps. Anyways now my old company has 15 Mbps and I'm still stuck at 6 Mbps not noticeable during surfing but definitely in video downloads and giant programs.
I checked back with the old company and apparently they have plans now that go up to 50 Mbps download, seriously who in their right mind needs that much speed right now?

Mine is wireless LAN that goes at 56Mbps, though I used to have a plan at 100Mbps.
We downgraded because we needed the extra money, and it doesn't make much of a difference anyway, I still have a pretty fast connection.

Hey,
Well my Internet is only about 20MBps so it isn't that fast, but I think that it is more than enough for what I actually have to do. I mean I don't really stream any HD movies or anything like that, I just check my email and post on myLot. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!

My internet is not that fast as I just have a 2mbps broad band connection. But still i am satisfied with this connection as i just need to spend 10 dollars per month including modem rent and i have unlimited download capacity. Hence this connection is sufficient for me and in my office I have a 40mbps connection.

Well, here in my place I used DSL connection unfortunately, it is very slow. I have no choice because ISP here is only 1 company.. the good thing is they've changed the old wires into new one... and gladly they increase a little bit in there performance.

well in general the internet connection is a bit slow where i live. but then it is getting better. like few days back i was using a 196Kbps connection and so my download speed was not even 20 kbps. but now i have a 1 mbps unlimited plan and so i get very high download speed of more than 100kbps and that is just amazing. it is really helping me in my work and also saves a lot of time when you are working on something. and i am sure that the speed will keep on increasing and also after a few years i guess the charges will also become very nominal like the mobile phone have right now. it is because internet is now a basic necessity for every one. every person will need that for work, for communication and many more things.

Great speed friend and lucky enough to get such high speeds. I get the maximum of 1.4 mbps even though i have been said 2 mbps. I get a download speed of 300kbps. Your downloads might be great and you can download almost around 10Gb per day i guess. Congrats for your speed. Let me know from which country you are and how much do you pay for your connection.

I am living in college now .The general speed is 100M. Many people share this cable ,but I still think it is very fast . When I download movies with Huntmine ,the speed can up to 8M/S. I am quite satisfy at this speed . It is a long vacation now ,there are few people here ,so the speed is much faster than before .

I know a lot of serious downloaders who would love to have that kind of speed. They download everything from movies to music to xbox video games to tv marathons. They always complain about not having enough downloading speed to complete their downloads within a space of say an hour. Frankly, I don't get it. I'm not that into downloading myself, but I guess it does matter to some.
