I was looking at this news on yahoo and seen this little excerpt saying that someone had hid a gun in between his blobs of fat where he was so obese the gaurds did not chekc him between his blobs of fat and he got a gun in. he was 500 pounds and is now being charged with possession of fire arm along with his other charges. Should there flabs of fat be checked??

I think they could take a lesson from this. There are many people who mean harm to other people and the authorities should do a better job everytime something like this happens.

I absolutely agree. It's like they think they can get away with it. If the police were better trained on obesity and the harmful affects of it and on the people that are just the opposite then maybe they would be more apt to pay closer attention. i think they need to be trained on generalized health conditions and other conditions that maybe going on in the prison or jail where they will be working so they would be aware if someone needed to be paid special attention to, so that something is not smuggled in. If they were doing there jobs to begin he wouldn't have got that far in my mind.

They sure didn't mind patting me down and I am skinny.. sorry they need to be more careful with everyone and not select who they think might have a weapon based on any criteria such as weight. Everyone should be assumed to have a weapon or at least the potential to have one! THat's the guard's fault that one got in!
