Are you close to you family?

Sadly, I am not close to them at all. I never really had a close relationship with my father. My mother is anything but a mother and my brother calls me names and talks bad about me whenever he gets the chance. I could care less if I am a million miles away from them. What does make me sad is that I don't have a family to be close with. I envy those who do...those who have a close bond with their parents should be extremely thankful. But, I have my children. They are my family and they are what gets me through the day.

I'm not close with my family, really. I'm really close with my cousin... but that's about it. I have a really strained relationship with my mother, a non-existant relationship with my father, and I have a restraining order against my older sister. Not too many families these days have the luxury of being tight, or close-knit. Most of my friends aren't close with their families either.. Sadd.

I am very close to my parents and my grandmother. They are my best friends. I know that I can count on them no matter what. And they can count on me.
