Have you done all of your school shopping?

It is almost that time here; the kids are getting ready to go back to school. Of course, back to school means shopping; new clothes, new shoes, school supplies, etc. So far, I have gotten some clothed for my kids, but I haven't gotten all of their supplies yet. Have you done all of your back to school shopping or do you have a ways to go too?

school in the philippines started last july and i am a first time mommy who would have a kid in school. i did the shopping almost like a month before school started. however, i did a double buying of my son's school bag since i figured that because he is just 3 years old and in nursery then a little bag would do. am pretty sure of this since i was a teacher. well, it only proves that as time went on even toddlers need a school bag as big as they are . the wrong sized bag doubles as a lunch box since i make sure that my kid had protein and carbohydrates, fruit and juice for his 2 1/2 hour class. they all, most of the time, don't fit in the regular sized lunch box.

I heard Staples has notebooks for one cent, limit 7! I'm going to pick some up for myself today. I remember those days, they were exciting and fun till the boys reached the age where they had to have a certain binder or backpack to be "cool". That meant MONEY! Why are popular things so expensive?!

Like the previous responder, I haven't even started yet. School starts here in exactly a month. Coincidently that's my birthday. Happy birthday to me. That's going to be my favorite present. Our local office supply store has a great set up every year. They have the lists for all the grades in all the schools. You just phone them up, tell them what grade and school and they get it all together for you. It costs a bit more but it's worth it for me. I hate shopping.

My mother made a trip to Walmart a few weeks ago and picked up some notebooks and binders for me and my brother. I doubt we'll be getting new clothes though. Maybe more shopping is to come.

I'm a procrastinator, so needless to say, I haven't even started. I have to get my kids sized for school uniforms and get supplies. I don't know about your school, but my kids' school make a list of everything that they want the parents to buy and send to school by their kids. I can understand the pencil, paper, and folders, but when it comes to paper clips, sharpies, and staples that have to be turned in to the teacher, I get a little suspicious. I mean, I don't have a problem with getting the supplies, but only if my children are the ones who will use them. I don't have extra money to provide the TEACHERS with supplies!
