have you ever fell in a man-hole?

i can vividly remember the first and would consider it the last time i fell on a man-hole. i went out with friends and was on my way back home around midnight. they were walking ahead of me about 5 steps away. we were walking in a dark pavement (blame it to the damaged post light). just when i was about to catch up with them, i just found myself going down in a dark, smelly and ever-disgusting man-hole about 5 feet tall, 3 feet by 3 feet wide. just imagine the shock considering i was only 11 years old that time not to mention that i am vertically-challenged. i was shouting for help but it just bounced back at me. i tried to reach out the edge just to help myself out. luckily, my weight isn't much of an issue that time. i was able to get out and acted oblivious to the questioning stares of my friends (since they were looking for me). when i got home, i bathed myself with alcohol and scrubbed till i went red. such a tragic yet memorable experience! beware of man-holes, my dear friends! it's not such a nice place to be in. do you have a more tragic yet funny experience than this?
