I use to curse, swear or say 'bad' words when I am mad
or sometimes when I am disappointed about something I did not get.
People would look at me with disgust when I unintentionally curse aloud.
What can you say about cursing, swearing or saying 'bad' words guys,
a bad thing or just a plain release of feelings?

I have done it in the past from time to time but never in public. However, when I hear a female talking like that it sounds so ugly and so unlady like. It has made me learn to control it because it really is disgusting to talk that way.

Yes I agree it shouldn't be spoken from either males or females. However, it seems to be a bit more accepted when a man speaks that way. I know I don't like it from either genders.

I honestly feel that cursing dumbs you down and is not at all classy. However I still do it (more than I care to admit) but I'm working on it. I do think there is a time and place for it though (like traffic)

Generally speaking, I don't like cursing as a part of casual language. When I was a teenager I did curse quite a bit. I went to stay with my sister and she had three small children so I curbed my language and found alternative words to use. I will still curse if I get really angry or like stub my toe or hurt myself accidentally, but that's more of a slip.

Yes, this is so true. I watch my words very well whenever I'm
with my nieces and nephews. They tend to copy what they most often hear
from adults. I was surprised when I heard my 2 year old nephew mouthed a not-so-clear 'f' word when he heard that from tv.

i think cursing or shouting loud in dirty words are not a polite behavior..more than that its not good for u either.the words u utter have an impact on your mind.dirtier the words u use more is the flow of negative energy.if u keep on cursing things, the ability to tolerate simplest of mistakes is lost n this leads a man to think ill of world n gradually pushes him to depression.slowly u start loosing out evrything..so regardless of what u loose or what has happened to u,speak good..
temporary release of feelings locks u in permanent soup..
