once I got a call from someone saying dont give miss call's to me. I was surprised and taken aback. I explained to him that I have not called him even once, but he woulnt budge and started asking what my name is and where i lived....well I had enough and just disconnected the call... He kept calling and I kept disconnecting....but he still wouldn't budge.... then I did a little trick, each time he called I received the call and disconnected immediately, I did this several times and poor fellow got charged for nothing everytime....guess what he stopped calling then :D

All the people that I know use their phones or cells and besides if it is something important they will either leave me a message on the voice mail or call me back again, there was a time when my daughter would call me using someone's else's cell phone, but then because of her I would answer the cell, more often than not were wrong numbers.
Now, at home we all have a cell phone, and I am the one known to use a public phone if I can, the call appears as public phone, and then the number, trust me on this one. I have prepaid cell phone without a plan, I prefer If I can to spend 50 cents for ten minutes than 20 cents per minute without a prepaid plan, on an emergency, it doesn't matter.

Hi, darisingstar. No way have I ever experienced something like this before!! Are you sure that he was calling the right person's house? I would have told him that he was mistaken and hang up. Then if he calls again. I would not answer my phone. Thank God for Caller ID! And, I would just disconnect my phone if the calling persists. Something like this should be notified to the police. That is what I will do if someone keeps calling me and leaving annoying calls on my phone line. I hope that this person will never call you again. Because, this sounds like a spooky kind of call!

No never got a call as such, once i had got a call saying why are you forwarding sms to my girl friends number better stop it or else wait and watch. I was totally shocked how can this be possible from past one month my cell was switched off as i had my exams and had to study loads. I was not able to understand how to react to the situation. My exams are over i wish to enjoy but that stupid caller gave my BP a new level. Later i got the call from the same number saying that there was mistype in the number and i am sorry. Its really disgusting to happen like this. Did any one face such kind of problem.

From the looks of it. and from my experience, i consider it as another big scheme scam. Never, ever ever ever tell personal information to a stranger of any sort.specially when they started asking your name and address. you could be a probable target for a scam or kidnapping. just keep doing that trick and you'll be fine.

hi darisingstar!
I've never got same sort of a call but rather I did that for a cause. The number was from my husbands call received list. Though it's unethical snooping on one's mobile phone I was curious of who was the one calling him the night before that he was dropping the call for several times. So, I did call the number the following morning and ask who she is as I was receiving missed calls telling her that it was my number and not my husband,s. Only to find out that it was a sales lady he met in a perfume shop whom he had given his number. Had I not interfere, the lady will never know that he is married and I am the wife.

LOL, this is obviously a trick to try his luck with you. I am always annoyed with guys like this. And it is a wise action for you to take on him. Nice one!!

I had a call from someone who asked if I was the 'owner' of my phone and then he asked me to stop calling his daughter because, whatever I was trying to sell her, she wasn't interested. Needless to say, I have never attempted to sell anything to anyone over the phone. I just assumed it was my son making a joke call... it wasn't.

Lol.. That's was a nice thing you did.... Well I haven't got a call saying don't give me missed calls but once someone called me and told me that I had send him a gudnight message. I asked him what the message was and to my surprise it was one of the messages that i had send to my best friend once. But that was quite sometime back. Getting a call from an unknown number with a known message was weird!! That person really irritated me after that quite a lot, he even knew my name and place where I studied! I had to take the help of my parents to stop him. But till date I don't know how he got that message and my name and other information. I suspect a classmate of mine to be involved in this incident, but no sound proof. But after this incidence I always keep my cell phone with me and keep a security code on it.

Nothing of that sort ever happened to me.But I had did get calls asking me to shut up.
You see,I got my cell phone pretty late.So when ultimately I got it I used to give missed calls to most of my friends. Some got really irritated and asked me to stop giving missed calls.I did stop then. Now I have a couple of little cousins who constantly give me missed calls. It irritates me and now I ask them to stop it.

That would happen because of the party line. sometimes the number you dialled is correct then suddenly it will be connected to somebody elses lin. Partyline had all the telecommunication company, it will happen also if the signal or connectivity is poor because of the weather.
Just ignore if somebody got called you again, saying Stop missed or called him / her.
