What would you be if your not who you are right now?

i am just a student. i want to be a simultaneous interpretation. i know there is still a long way to go. but i believe i can make it as long as i work hard enough. i wonder if i can ask you a question. what is your dream? what do you really want to be? someone you are now or someone you imagine? i think you should try to find the answer first. why do you just imagine? if you really want to be it, why don't you start right now?

oh yeah.. this is the question in my heart too. I ponder upon this everytime i get frustrated with what i m doing now, its natural to feel so anyway. I would have taken up the offer to pursue my education in the States, (btw im asian american living in asia) and woulda finished by now, and travelling/working around the world experiencing diff cultures on a few gap years before i settle down. am i still harboring that dream, yes! and i will make it happen (though im really not sure how to, since its so 'screwed up' now).. though nothing is certain as yet, life certainly has a way of turning things around, you'll never know, but the important thing is not to stop dreaming, keep believing and start doing tht which is relevant to reach ur dream, if that's wht u really really want in life.

I am a 37 year old primary school teacher in real life. If I wasn't myself I would be a diplomat living in lots of different countries. I would have a home base in my home country and set up home for a few years in a selection of foreign places. I would get married and have two children: a girl and a boy. I would retire to Belize in the Caribbean.
