Has anyone tried ocr which reads characters in image and converts it to actual characters. I have tried adobe and abby reader but results are not perfect. Is there any better software which recognises the characters perfectly?

ABBY finereader is good,I think. It works well on displaying English characters. I don't know whether you're using it to display other characters. Or maybe the source image or pics you're using is not so good, then finereader can not work very well.

What your using is among the best OCRs in the market. Sometimes we need to assist these tool to generate good results, like scanning the document in a much higher resolution to clearly recognize the characters say not less than 150 dots/inch. Sometimes we also have to adjust the brightness and contrast of the scanned image before doing the OCR. Try it.)
