I have heard that when you are depressed then you should engage yourself in other things and you will forget the depression but does it really help, does not this happen that the thing or a person who has build this situation is enjoying his way of life and you are only in this miserable condition and that too because of him and if you do not make him realised your situation you will not feel better.....otherwise how will you feel better, does not the thing go round and round behind your head even if you are engaged???

Hi, mansaklok.
The response a person should give to a particular situation depends on the situation itself.
First of all, just looking for a revenge is never a solution to any problem.
Secondly, sometimes the situation is too complicated that diverting our attention doesn`t work. But, it is always better to look for a solution to the problem, with a cool mind, if it is possible, rather than engaging ourselves in other activities.
But, if we can do nothing about a particular problem, it is always good to forget about it with the best possible efforts instead of pondering upon it and depressing yourself. It is of no god by the way.
Happy Mylotting!!

For me there are times when it helps to keep my mind active, but there are other times when it just makes matters worse because that just avoids the issue. The best thing that I found to help my depression is talking about it. I see a therapist to help me through the feelings or I will talk with my pastor.
