I agree. LOL The way you described it couldn't say it any better. A block dress from the 60's is so cool. My vintage clothes came from my parents. They kept their teenage clothes and saved it. Some I find very cool and some too funny for my taste.

Vintage clothes can be unique as your collections. It's nice to have souvenirs from sixties and seventies. Many people are trying to collect vintage items like clothes to fill their satisfaction. I have watched one of GMA's 7 documentary about a man who still wears outfit from seventies and sixties, he is very famous in many bars because he only play and sing songs from seventies and sixties. People appreciate his uniqueness. Happy mylotting !

Ya. LOL. It's like watching Ariel and Maverick. They sport some vintage clothes as well. But frankly though I don't like their kind of humor. LOL. I guess vintage clothes are rare these days but still a lot of people wants to wear them.

Oh, I have no problem in doing this, and in fact, I do it proudly. While those who enjoy making fun of me for doing so, I enjoy the money that I'm saving NOT spending $50+ on a pair of jeans! Cheers! :)

I think that I'd wear one on special retro occasions, in which case they tend to fully kit themselves out in clothing from a certain era. But, by and large, people looking for a cooky vibe or hard-core fashion addicts for whom individuality and quality prime above all else, invest in vintage clothing, bags and jewellery in order to wear them with contemporary items or items from other eras. After all, designers themselves use vintage and antique clothing as a source of inspiration, and this not just every now and then, but constantly. Most of the things we wear now are nothing but a remake of garments past. And more often than not, the originals were better made than their contemporary counterparts! Good quality clothing and bags from the 40s, 50s and 60s were often of today's couture standards. By this I mean that their manufacturing quality and attention to detail are now only found at astounding prices, from haute couture houses. Because vintage clothes have already been worn, they are systematically cheaper than similar modern items produced to the same standards. In short, I think that vintage rules!

Yeah, I have this feeling too that the fashion today just borrows it's style and inspiration from the past. LOL Very nice response.
