It is hard to satisfy customers

Well, it won't be easy for me, and but I still have to make money during the weekend as for my second job. I work part - time during the weekend at a Thai restaurant. As economic in its worst shape, we have to focus on customer satisfaction to keep them, and hope them return next time. But some customers just cross the line sometimes. After they finish half of the meal, they demanded exchange for another one, because it was too spicy, or it wasn't like the one they tasted before. So, we have to bring it back to the kitchen, and re - make a new entree for them. All just for customer satisfaction. Do you ever encountered such customers?

i know this was an old topic but i hope you dont mind me opening it up again. Dang it is oh so hard to satisfy customers and it is a lot even worse that you cant even grumble at them because they are paying you. Just to take the itch out, try to be gentle again and after you move distances from him, try shouting valhalla for all you care; that way you also satisfy yourself! heheheh! and after that, you just laugh it out! like for instance if you are in a nasty phone call with a stubborn or pushy client; manage to put the phone down gently and then rant all you want after the call to be fair to yourself. I am pretty sure your officemates wont mind you shouting because they get into nasty clients as well. And then again, dont forget to laugh ok?

yes it is very hard for a man to satisfy the customers .as the customers always argue about the products.if you are selling a good product, they will come over some problems or prices about the product and at last he or she will not purchase that particular product.but this is very simple in case of women,if the man is going to purchase some items in a shop whose seller is a women then how much she will rise the price of the product the man will come in talks of women and purchase that item.thats a reality in todays world

yes it is pretty tough job, I have experienced a similar situation. It seems to be hard to satisfy them. Inspite of their regrets if you have a pretty smile on your face(not laughing) you would surely earn accolades from them. You maybe taken to the customers ownership also by being polite, as this is the best management trick. Surely you would succeed, i can say this from your feeling to satisfy customers. remember the old saying "You cannot satisfy all the persons".

I have never worked in a fastfood restaurant, but I am a customer and sometimes it is not easy being a customer. I have ordered food and it is not exactly what I ordered. Example weekend I went to a popular restaurant. I am going to say name but the salad was too salty. what should I have done. I didn't want to say anything because if I complain who knows what they will do back there with another one or the rest of my food and is it fair to me to eat the salty salad and pay for it.

Yes,you are quite right,I am now working as a international sale for IT products in my company, and I know how hare it is to meet 100% of the customer's need. But,how do say, after all, they are the customer, instead of keeping complaining,I think there are still ways to solve your problems: 1.You got to show on the menu very clearly all the different flavors, then the customers may know well about it. 2.The most important thing it to ask and listen to cusomer's opinion before your are going to bringing the food, you know someone may prefer spicy, other may not;some may like to add milk in tea, while others may want sugar, and so on...... So,can these be helpful??

It is true that it not easy to satisfy customers, as they are the on pay for the meals and things so they expect a great service for them even though sometimes what they asked is ridiculous. I only has a few weeks experienced working at the restaurant, but mine has not been really bad, but for you to presevere, is good enough. Just beleive that patient will give you big rewards one day.

Ungh.. Yes!!! I worked in retail through my teenage years into my late 20s. I can't imagine doing it at the same place for numerous years. I contribute working customer service to half the reason that I've lost my faith in humanity and that humans are the superior beings on the food chain. I've had customers yell at me for having a hearing problem, because they ordered their food wrong 5 times in a row and it had to be made completely fresh (no joke, she got mad cause it was hot and fresh!!!), drinks and food thrown at me because the customer didn't like the size of the drink... and we won't even talk about the inconsistency of management. Now if I accept a job, it's NOT in customer service of any kind. I don't get rude with people, I've always gotten great commendation for my customer service at my jobs...but very few jobs and certainly not a minimum wage one, are worth pushing aside every ounce of self respect that I have to satisfy someone else's greed, pickiness, stupidity and ignorance and allowing myself to become a whipping boy for some corporate jerk who's probably never worked directly with the "everyday joe" customer before in the same setting.
