When was the last time you had a sweet juicy peach?

What good timing for this discussion. I just had a fresh, juicy peach just a couple of days ago. We had a fruit truck come up from the Okanagan full of just picked fruit. A friend of mine splurged majorly and we've been snacking on fresh fruit all week - peached, nectarined, apricots and cherries. All fresh picked and oh so very yummy.

IMO a canned peach doesn't hold candle to a sweet perfectly ripened peach. My husband and I actually just bought some peaches last night. They were great. Perfectly sweet, juicy (to the point of running down your arm) WinnDixie has them .99 a lb right now... Do you live near a WinnDixie? lol This is the first year in a while that I have seen some nice peaches, which sucks, living in GA you think I'd be abl to find them all the time!! Durn, now I want another peach lol.

Yesterday afternoon actually. My mom had gone to see her parents, which live about two and a half hours away from her. She came back with peaches, tomatoes, and squash from a stand near where her parents live. They always have the freshest produce. Yesterday my mom gave me one of the peaches, and it was divine! Canned peaches just can't hold a candle to fresh peaches.

Its been a while, I was at the market when we lived in Cali and they had a lot of fruit I hadn't eaten in forever. I did get some plums and when I bit into it the juice ran down my arms, good stuff baby!

I had one this weekend! I belong to a local food organic co-op, and I get organic produce delivered to my door once a week, and there were peaches in the last batch. Yummy! I don't eat canned fruit, so I couldn't tell you the last time I had a canned peach. Too much sugar, too many preservatives! I prefer the real thing!

I ate peaches 3-4 months ago because peaches are seasonal in our country. Yes it is juicy and crispy, too.

I also try peaches here.. It was a week ago... I try to each peach and its also sweet and good one..

Its been a while since I had a peach but I had a nice ripe nectarine a couple of hours ago. I paid £1 (GBP) for a punnet of 5. Haven't had canned peaches in years... nothing like fresh peaches.

i actually don't like peaches. something about their taste doesn't agree with my tongue, so the only time i tried a peach was also the time that i decided i didn't like them. the rest of my family absolutely loves them, though.

Hi, I live in a small town in Pennsylvania and here we have a farmers market every Thursday. The local farmers bring their produce to town to sell it and this past Thursday there were peaches. Yes, I bought them and they are very good!!

Well, just now because you made me crave one. It wasn't so juicy; but it was still a peach! ;)
