Is it important to use tags when responding to a discussion or starting a new discussion?
I noticed that I got credit for a couple of responses I posted and i used tags,
since then I did not use tags and don't see a change in my credits or money earned.
Can someone explain this to me?
Thanks.

It enables other users to easily find related content. Hence, it is important that you always put tags on discussions you have started so you can produce massive response from the mylot community. :) hope that helps!

I think it is important for when people use the searchbox. I think the tags become the keywords, and I think they also appear in the interests when you look up a discussion by interest.
I think its good because it helps to catergorize.

If I'm not too busy I add a tag on a discussion I respond to. Well, this was my question the other day too. Is it a requirement for us to be paid or this is just a way of helping the other person increase the searchability of his discussion. I am just too busy lately so I skip them. I don't even have time to create my own discussion.

You will get more responses with a tagged post. And the more responses you get, the more you earn. Mylot checks the responses and also your comments to them. The idea is to really have a conversation.

Its mainly helps searching. Tags help to identify relevant information quickly and effectively. Though its annoying to tag every reply or dicussion you contribute to, its a good practice and eventually helps to keep mylot a better place :)
