Thank you to everyone that responded to my discussion about the loss of my beloved kitty, LittleOne. I want you to know that I read each and every response and I so very much appreciate your love and kindness you sent my way. It's still pretty rough not seeing her at my front door looking in as if to say...ok mom, where's my breakfast. But I know she's in so much of a better place and she is not suffering. I may be having to take my other feral kitty, Spot, in to be put down. She is showing the same symptoms that LittleOne was before she was hit. Very emaciated, listless, and dull almost lifeless eyes. She is so hard to catch though, so I don't know if I will be able to get her to the vet or not. But she's getting 3 meals a day of canned food, and she's been wormed and given yeast in the food to take care of the fleas. Hopefully she'll snap out of it. Anyway, thank you again all of my wonderful friends for being here for me...even though I seem to be MIA a lot of the time. You are all very much loved and appreciated.

I pray Spot is going to be okay and to your words of thanks I say ‘You’re welcome’. I took my beloved 13 year old cat to have a blood test today because although he appears perfectly healthy he throws up every second day or so. I am waiting for the results as I write and I am trying really hard not to worry about him. We get so darn attached to the little critters! Best of luck with your kitty...

Well, my Spot ended up not making it. I wish she had, but she just refused to eat and passed away a few days ago. Thanks for being here for me hon. I'm here for you as well if you need me.

I am so sorry about Spot that is a real shame! Thanks for your offer of support, I appreciate it! My cat's blood results were good news so we know it is not something too serious although he is still throwing up clear liquid every second or third day and we don't think it's fur balls. It is a puzzling thing because he is healthy in every other way. We'll keep seeing the vet even though it is costing a small fortune! Condolences again for the loss of your kitty...

I sure hope Spot isn't going by way of Little One. I was thinking about it when I was reading your other discussion about Little One, could someone be poisoning them? It doesn't take much to make a cat sick and once they are, they tend to not eat. Is she sneezing alot with runny nose/eyes? If so, could be upper respitory infection which is easy to treat IF you can catch her and temp. cage her since she would need meds. I remember when I was around 16yr. old, I worked at a farm that had alot of feral cats and they all got that infection. They stopped eating as well until every one of them was caught and put in cages to be treated with antibiotics.

I honestly don't know what was going on. I don't think it was from poison though because I have 2 other outside cats and they are fine. I'm thinking maybe they had feline leukemia or something along those lines because Spot and LittleOne were the only ones out of my "herd" that hadn't had any shots. I just posted about Spot...she didn't live either. It's so hard to deal with, but at least now she's not suffering anymore. That doesn't do anything to stop the tears from flowing though. Thanks so much hon. Sending lots of love and hugs your way.

Awwwwwwwwww..poor Spot. Wish there was some way to find out what happened to them w/o costing alot of money. Poor cats are now free of the pain they were in. It's times like this that I wish I would never get so attached to my furbabies. Tha pain of losing them is unbearable.

I never did find out what was wrong with either one of them. Spot didn't live, so now she's buried over with her beloved friend. I posted a discussion about her just a little bit ago. Thank you so much sweetie. I love you hon.

I'm so sorry you had to put LittleOne down. Sometimes it just has to be done even though we hate to part with our pets. I do understand how you feel by not being greeted at the door by your kitty. We had to have our cat put to sleep in January. Took me months to get over she wouldn't be there when I walked in the front door. We had her about 11 yrs. and it was hard to let her go. She was so sick with cancer that I couldn't bear to keep her alive. Towards the end she was in pain and very listless. It was time!

I knew it was time...but it's so hard to do. Even now I keep expecting her to be right there at the door.

When ferals get sick, they are very hard to deal with. I got bit when I caught Mitten, and she was very sick and dying of kidney failure. The vet was worried about the bite until I said that she had been given a rabies shot in March (after she had chewed my finger and spent a week at the pound for rabies watch. I now am worried about Star, our eldest inside feral, she's lost weight and seems unhappy, but it could be because she's lost all her friends, 'Nado and Nino. I've seen her cuddling up with Nef, so she may be making a new friend, I hope. But she is 9 yrs old, so she's not a spring chick either. I hope Spot does recover, but its so hard with those ferals.

I hope so too, because she'd definitely the hardest to catch feral I've ever had - well, until these 3 kittens anyway! A few more months and we can get the kittens fixed and out of the house, they sure are cute tho....

I also have a lot of feelings to animals, and it is very sad to see one's pet's demise. LittleOne must have been very close to you and missing her must have been heartbreaking. Take heart that she has overcome her pain and distress and is now in heaven, enjoying a warm and pleasant life, far from fear and pain.
