Which dog is Best for Home?

For a guard dog, the doberman pincher would be a great dog. There are others that would be good for a guard dog like a rottweiler, german shepherd or a pit bull. I have heard that the german shepherd is one of the smartest dogs in the world. I guess this is why the military police and K-9 units use them. The only thing you have to worry about is the dog harming your guests. Even if they are well trained, your guests may still avoid coming over because they are afraid of your dog. That is sad because dogs can be great!
