become singer

I'm a music lover and they say i have a great voice and i sing like bonnie tyler with my husky voice..Unfortunately I'm not dreaming to become a singer..i just wanna sing but don't actually like to show off because i don't think i can manage.. I'm afraid with the crowd..I don't wanna be criticize..I tried to join choirs and theaters but i did not enjoyed it so i think becoming a singer is a lousy career for me..
