I have seen some people when I visit their houses or talk to them --it is always an activity packed session for them;THis is even for homemakers; they always keep saying things baout one activity or another, be it washing, cleaning up, getting some plumbing fixed, some handle repaired, some electric connection redone etc etc..,going out shoppping; so on and so forth.
On a personal level I can say that in our house it is not so.I do have pending tasks but I also find time [ for the internet/books etc apart from my regular routine jobs of cooking three meals a day that does call for a lot of work.
What about you?Is it always an activity packed session for you?[be it in office or when at home or even if you are a homemaker]

thats a chronic disease, some people tend to love it.they like to be disorganised and are always in a big hurry as the world will fall apart without them.i think that increases the stress levels.on the personal level,i like to priortise things, surely it does take some to become organised.

Hi RIYA Only yessterday I responded to you . Seeing you after a long time. How are you? Very true ;moreover, this would not only increase their own stress levels it would also increase the stress of people who stay at home with them especially because they tend to take it out on them or at least drive them with some other tasks of their own.I do not think it has anything to do with being organised or disorganised. They would be organised in many aspects and disorganised in some others. I do take alot of tiem to organise myself but I believe that the earth would not fall.I have different priortities .

You will Riya.nothing works better than determination.I would normally misplace the weight of the pressure cooker and search for it when in a hurry.Nowadays, I just decide to be calm and switch off the gas stove to search for this.It would very much be under my nose but when I get nervous I lose my cool and would also get on other people's nerves. Now I find that I do not misplace it that much.

Hi Kala!
I can say that me and my better half remain busy through out the day (you know it that we are a working couple). It is more on the part of my better half. She just cannot sit idle. She keeps doing one thing or the other and keeps herself busy and she is mostly into physical activities. We do get some spare time in the evening, after dinner, when we sit and discuss about day's activities.

Hullo Deepak ! What happened to you?Busy? I just saw your name popping in with the message in mimpidreams.I will be going there now. Yes I see what you mean. Some people are made that way.I also know a few women who keep doing one physical activity after another .I am different.Mine includes net and relaxing also.Thank God you have some time in the evening to chat.Ohterwise life would become too monotonous and mechanical.I believe that some activities can wait but the small joys of life like listening and nodding to a favourite ARRehman's song or other must never be missed.

Hi Kala!
Yes, I agree with you that joy of listening to music or relaxing through a evening stroll should not be missed at any cost.

When I have a guest in my house, I will have all the time in the world to entertain him/her and make her feel very much at home with me. I have a different set of conversations to entertain them and not make them feel awkward by telling them from A to Z about my activities. Though I might have tons of unfinished work to do but having a guest doesn't happen everyday and I consider myself sitting down chit chatting with my guest as a form of rest away from the daily stressful workload.

That is very true Zandi and we do not get guests everyday. THe guests do come home for some small chitchat and not eb witness to another person's activities. THey can as well be without it.Your attitude is commendable and guests would feel very happy. Thanks for dropping by.

I being a home maker,do find time for internet or for a book or for viewing the television although I do talk daily to my married children who are away from home .Ofcourse I do all my household chores and try to keep my house neat and tidy.I now and then cook something new and do go out often to get something or to meet friends .So although only both me and my husband are there I do feel myself occupied .Now and then it is action packed also.

I have organized my life so that I can spend as much time as I can doing what I enjoy. I have a roster, believe it or not, and on it are the chores that need doing on any given day and once the day’s chores (which I like to get over and done as early as possible) are done that is it; I will not allow myself to do any more work until the next day.
If I don’t do this I will keep running around working and have no time for myself or to spend with my daughter.

If I see Paula's name I can be sure of a sensible response Paula. And here your sensible response seems to have sprung out of a sensible organized plan.True that you cannot afford to lose time with your precious little one.Children take priority over everything else.THeir childhood would never come back. All other tasks would still be there.

I indulge my son even now [he is 27] and would run at his bidding if he plays a piece of music and shouts for me to come and sit and listen.Only when I am really tied up in the kitchen where I just cannot leave I tell him that I cannot do it.I always feel honoured that my child wishes to share some things with me and so he becomes my priority [whenever he has time]

That is so nice! You still give your son your time whenever you can, that is so thoughtful and what life is all about!

Hi kala, In my case it depends. There are some days when I am running from pole to the pillar and really busy. But I make sure that all my jobs are done, like cooking, cleaning and the routine housework plus the outside jobs. I feel very stressed when I have house guests, because I need to change my routine to suit them ( No one seems to realise that it should be the other way round) and the added work.
I am normally active not hyperactive . But my mind is hyperactive with hundreds of things that need to be done today, tomorrow or at a later date LOL I sometimes wish one could just take it easy, enjoying a leisurely day taking your own time about everything and doing what want to do.....thats my imagination running wild kala- hope mylot updates today at least

I see what you mean Kiran. I also feel stressed when there are houseguests. That is because we have to do all the work with no proper help.Servants are really difficult these days and if we have to do everything apart from cooking too, then it really frustrates us.But nowadays, I generally start with a resigned frame of mind . It helps me maintain my cool.As far as simple enjoyments go I see to it that I am never too active to miss this.

Agreed kala !I have a part time maid only who is in one big hurry to finish and run out of the house, but she is good in her job and has been with me for a long time. But i have to all the other housework by myself, no complaints regarding that. But it can be tough when there are many guests for a meal or visiting us and staying with us esp during weekends when my maid is off....But I have managed with a little grumbling now and then and self pity LOL

Here hyperactive refers to people, often children, who cannot control activity. Very active people are called busy or very active, but not hyperactive unless it is meant to suggest they are doing something they should not be doing. So I do keep very busy, but am not clinically hyperactive. At least I don't think so.

What you are saying is thta you are conscious of finishing your daily chores Tamara. You still find some time to relax with the net and respond in mylot and etc.., etc..,THis is not being hyperactive. If our daily chores are not finished we are the ones who would eventually do them after piling them up all.Only thing is thta these daily chores vary from person to person. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and participating.

Yeah. I believe hyperactivity has its natural causes though. There are people who just get bored very very quickly. I'm one of them, my pa is one of them too, so I guess it runs in the family. I do like my chill out time, but rarelly, as otherwise it's slightly boring. A bit of speed while driving is always welcomed too.
