Ok, I live on a corner block & a few months ago, I was taking my daughter to our local park we walk as it's only a 2 min walk. Anyway, to get there, we have to walk past our fence & both of my dogs LOVE going for walks - especially my boy so he was barking & yelping because we were walking & he wasn't. About 10 mins after we got to the park & we got a visit from guess who??? So we had to cut our visit to the park real short to take our dog home. When we got home, I saw that he had busted out of the bottom of our 6ft wooden fence & broken a few pailings - our girl couldn't follow him coz she was too fat to fit through the gap lol. Have your dogs ever been naughty like that?

Wow, sounds like he is a tough fellor. And it is funny that he knew exactly where to find you.
Sometimes I think dogs can be too smart for their own good. I lived on a busy 4 lane, and my dog managed to climb his 6 foot kennel. Someone left the gate open to the main fence and he made it out to the road. When I finally found him, in the ditch, it was very sad. I always said that he was too smart for his own good.
Sorry for the sad story.
I am glad that your dog knew where to go and that nothing happened to him.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss I know how you feel, I took our previous staffy for a walk off lead where we were living just north of Mackay in North Queensland & he got bitten by a snake & didn't survive.
In our last house, our fence was only about 5 ft in the front & some stupid person put a huge boulder in the corner of the front garden & our current boy used to jump on the boulder & then over the fence when he saw someone walking their dog & he wanted to accompany them & play with the dog but being a staffy, you can imagine the persons reaction lol.So we ended up having to put chicken wire at that corner of the fence so it was too high for him to jump.
Our previous staffy (the one who got bitten by a snake) he used to climb a tree & jump onto our neighbor's wheelie bins & into their yard to play with their 3 year old boy :p

I have a mixed female mut she is big with blonde and white fur. A really pretty dog. We have a 3ft fence and if we don't keep her on a leash in the yard she will climb the fence like a kid. It is a shame too because we have a big yard for her to run in. She has a 40ft leash but I wish we could let her run but if we try that she will bite someone she has done that already.

That is a shame that she has to be tied up...my dogs hate being tied up & would definately break free.

I don't have any dogs myself but when I visit my aunt, her dogs are naughty somethings. When we try to enter the door, her dogs will start jumping and hurdling near the door. Once, one of the big dogs slipped out and ran away. We have to run five streets before we caught it. Then we had to drag it home. My aunt said it was good exercise.

My dogs jump up & greet people too when they come to visit. I think for them, it's just the excitement of seeing someone different & they think the people have come to visit them & not us lol. My dogs normally need about 5 mins time out to calm down.
