can you have morals if you do not belive in god??

I think you can. In fact, when Christians were spreading their faith, they found many godless cultures that had the same basic moral values they did.

The cultures the Christians encountered were not godless. In fact, they were "godful" since they believed in multiple gods, rather than the one god of the CHristian faith.

Sure, morals are the foundation of how you live your life. They need not be "good" but they are. Not saying that someone who does not believe in god has bad morals. I am merely saying that one's basic decisionmaking has nothing to do with one's belief in a god.
