Why are Christians not christians any more.

It is prophesy being fulfilled,Jesus said there would be a great falling away just before his return.here we are.

A priest once told me that the bible is a book of examples, not meant to be taken literally as if it was then Adam and Eve and now all of us are incesteral, church and religion is more about money and how many times u can pass a collection plate around, have even heard some priest say they dont want to hear it, in otherwords no coins just notes, I thought we were there to worship God. U can believe in God and pray at home or wherever u r I think if u cant get to church dont panic

Lately, I've been questioning my own relgion...I am a Catholic, and I have also argued against teh bible due to the fact that it does not give any clear distinctions of the past. Why is this? I have been thinking a lot, and I still haven;t got the answers. But i still love God and Jesus, I just want things cleared up. And if the bible was God's words to man, but it was not written and put into a book, unilt a like some hundred years later, then I feel that man has some way or another altered it. Man is deceiving. Waht confirmed this even more was how the bible was brought together. WAtching Banned from the Bible on the history channel has confirmed my thoughts about it. Many of the gospels were not put into. I am still at a lost here and I will probably never understand anything anymore of religion. Who knows what's going to happen?

There are a lot of crooked ministers who pervert Christ's message for their own political purposes and to feed their own biases. A lot of Christians claim to know the Bible but have poor understanding of it.

Personally I have found lots of people are looking for "feel good sermons". I have watched my mother-in-law bounce from church to church each Sunday because she wants to hear the happy, encouraging stuff and not that, "you shouldn't do this or that". My pastor refuses to preach that way. He preaches the sermons God tells him to preach. We have a small church and he has been told to "water it down" so more people will come to our church. He was told, you can't step on toes. Personally that makes very little sense to me. How about you?

i am a real christian and my dad is the pastor of a church and the bible says that you have to be born again to go to heaven and so people forget the being born again part and say im a christian and saying their a christian is assuming that they will go to heaven from i_lov_animals
