It's just something people do. I don't, I don't want to waste the money and I agree it's harmful BUT, if you don't like something don't do it, I don't like to smoke and I wont tell anyone to or not to

I'm in total agreement with you. Its a nasty disgusting habit that cost alot of money to eventually end up killing you or your loved ones. I can truly understand people who started decades ago when they didn't know the harm but come on now. Why would a teenager or young adult start smoking knowing the harm that it could cause. I don't understand that at all. I also can't stand the smell plus I'm allergic to it.

I know what you mean. People of this time espesialy should have the knowledge to not do it.

In our city, our mayor made an anti-smoking ordinance which prohibits
people from smoking in public. So if you come here in our place,
you seldom see people smoke anywhere they want, unless it's a smoking area.
Our mayor was credited for that way back when it was implemented.
Personally, I smoke occasionally, especially when we're on a drinking spree with
friends.I don't find it a big deal when you smoke once in a while. A chain smoker or a heavy smoker is another thing though..

My brother was a heavy smoker for like 8yrs. I didn't know who or which prompted him to stop, but he so suddenly stopped. The next thing I knew he suffered from upper and lower respiratory infection which lasted almost a month!
I do suggest that if you are convinced and more than willing to stop, try to lessen smoking slowly and gradually. Try to lessen smoking a stick or two per day until you reach zero sticks. ;)

I don't really understand why people spend some money just to harm themselves, others, and polluting the environment. And I really hate smokers who doesn't have any discipline, smokers who smoke in public transportation or public places where non-smokers could inhale it. I don't really know what satisfaction they for smoking but I hope they'll realize that there are more consequences than pros in smoking.

I think it is a personal choice where to smoke or not and many places have already banned smoking. What upsets me though, is people are using it as an excuse to why other dangerous substances should be legalized. I think none of these things that are harmful to our body should be ever legal to take but I can't see the president setting law to ban it. I just don't think it would happen.

I've smoked a couple of times (under the influence of bad friends), but i've quit ever since. Looking at people smoking now, I can't believe i was one of them. It smells, and poses a dangerous health hazard to others.
