Ive been hormonally challenged my ENTIRE life.... I mean irregular periods since I started them and all that goes with that. I've also been overweight along with it. I never really felt different since I had always felt without energy and no drive. Many years later I was finally prescribed prozac... as the Dr. explained it regulates your hormones. After starting to take them, I felt energized, I felt strong, I felt like exercising, I felt tons of new things. Anyways, I stopped taking them and I gained a crazy 25lbs in 4 months. Again, waking up was tiring, the toothbrush was heavy, the day was too long , and there wasn't enough sleep time in the day. I went back to the Dr. and he told me to go back on it.I've lost 10 lbs in 2 months. I'm trying not to depend on prozac so I take it every other day. Some days aren't as good as others, but Im exercising watching what I eat and doing better. I'm 158 lbs... i got 23 lbs to meet my ideal weight and I'm hoping I get to it someday.

I completely understand your plight with your hormonal em balance. I have PCOS and this has cause me irregularity amongst many other embarrassing related issues. It takes what I call gyn shopping to fined a doctor that specializes in these problems and works with you to find a solution. Not just one who throws pills your way and waves messages of hopelessness. Good luck on your journey!

Have you had your thyroid checked? Sometimes unexpected weight gains & losses are caused by thyroid conditions.
