Is it un-american to question and/or protest the current administraions attempt to pass a health care reform bill. Many Americans are standing up at town hall meetings and asking tough questions of congressmen. Some of these Americans are angry, and they have a right to be. Washington is determined to ram a health care reform down our throats whether we want it or not. The last I heard, it was government by the people, for the people. It seems like the good old boys and girls in D.C. town don't care what we the people think.

This is exactly the point I made in a response on another discussion. Government of the people and by the people, yet Washington doesn't think it ought to listen to the people. They know best and we are too ignorant to see it. It's insulting. These meetings wouldn't descend into shouting matches if those representatives were there to answer questions, but they are not. They are there to tell everyone why they will vote for this bill in spite of the fact that their constituents oppose it. These bums need to be voted out. As soon as they tell the people, we don't care what you think, they don't belong in Congress.
