I Think The Taking of PELHAM 123 movies is a bored movies?

I havnt seen this movie even though I heard mixed reviews from it. But I still want to see it because I love John Travolta and as a bad guy hes awesome plus Denzel Washington is awesome and I cant wait to see the interactions between them which should be good.

The trouble is that The Taking of Pelham 123 has had quite a bit of media hype and made it out to be a much better movie than it really is. This happens so often and far too many people big-up a movie because they see it as being cool when in fact the movie is pretty pants. Comparing this version of The Taking of Pelham 123 to the original it is not even a patch on it. The original was extremely clever and drew you into the movie.

You probably expected to much of the movie, sometimes we have to watch it as they are the way it is presented to us. I have no plans of watching a movie that time and I have selected it based entirely on the main actors, in the end I am very glad I did. I think both John Travolta and Denzel Washington did well in portraying their character. The most riveting scene for me there was when the wacko hijacker Ryder(John Travolta) squeezes Walter(Denzel Washington) over the radio where every one can hear to admit the crime he was accused of, for me that will be a very good topic for a moral debate. I just found out from Imdb that this was a remake of the 1974 film with the same title. The story must be something to merit a remake.
