Can you say No?

An old coworker called me yesterday to ask me for a favor and I told her that I was going to see. She wants to know if she can have some of the hours that another friend has at work. I am not working at the moment but I talk to some of the people that work there. And since she those not know how to ask my friend she wants me to ask him if she can have some of his hours so she can make the 40 hours a week for some months. I really don’t want to ask my friend about it and I really do not want to get in the middle of anything but I really can’t say no. Or actually I feel bad to say no because I know that she needs those hours and my other friend also needs them but he those not have any kids or wife.
I don’t know why I have always had a problem to say No when a friend asks me for a favor I just feel bad about it. I wish I was able to say no to them when I know that I can’t or when I don’t want to do what they want. But that also happens to me with my family and with my husband it is worst because I would do anything for him even when he those not ask me to do it.
Is it hard for you to say NO?

Hi,
Yes, it is very hard for me to say no to somebody as i am a heartful people. It happens many time that i have to do a lot things and try my hard to reslove the problem just because i can not reject it. But in the recently, things seem have change better. When something is really beyond my ability, maybe i can say no. I am trying to do that, as it is very important. We should not accept any requiests from friends.

That is true if we are not able or do not want to do something we should be able to say no but it is so hard to say no especially to someone that we care for. Thank you for your response and I am sorry I did not respond to it earlier have a great day.

I too find it difficult to say no. The best thing to do is to explain why you cant do them the favor. I try to explain that I have done all that I can to try to help them but in the end it wouldnt work out. I usually feel bad after saying no but its something you unfortunately have to live with.
I thought I would get better saying no especially since I work in an industry were I have to tell customers no frequently, but some things you just cant get use to.

Yes you are right it is hard to get used to saying no well with my 11 year old I have to say no most of the time but at the end some of the times I would say ok. Thank you for your response and sorry about not getting to answer your comment until know.

I have a real problem with saying no myself. I try to go with my gut and answer from there. I feel women espially have a intiwission that we must try and listen to more often. I am not sure what the reason was this person needed more hours but although the time has came and past maybe she could have used the money. I look at things like that because sometimes people just want to be heard. Take care friend and happy mylotting to you.
